Recently moving to the Charlotte area and trying a new place once a week to get to know the area, I found Seaboard Brewing, read the reviews and thought it would be great. Leslie even though she was busy was very friendly. David on the other hand walked by us 2x while looking me in the face and not asking if we needed anything. By the third walk by I asked him about the wine and what they had. He was short & not friendly, which made us uncomfortable We didn't finish our drinks paid and left. Won't be back.

Found this place while looking for a new spot on a Sunday evening. The beer was great, and this is the only brewery or bar I’ve been to in the Charlotte area that has decent lighting. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and friendly and kind. Definitely recommend.

Seaboard is on par with your average brewery, but where they excel is their wide ranging wine selection. Though not affiliated the brewery is also an excellent place to enjoy a cigar from next door at 105 Cigars. There's a pizza place as well that is open for most of the brewery's hours and they will bring the food to your table. In short, a great spot to spend an afternoon, especially during nice weather. The beer selection is typical for a small/mid sized brewery and hit the general preferences with your German style lagers, light pilsners, sours, ciders, and of course IPAs. My only complaint is that I've had two experiences with one of the bartenders being curt/rude. This isn't a dive bar, bartenders should be willing to answer basic questions about the product, and they also should expect people to still visit even in the last hour of opening. However everyone else there seems nice and accommodating as well as knowledgeable.

Nice casual atmosphere. Can order from table on an app by scanning QR code. That worked well. Service was good. Had a charcuterie board and it was excellent.

I really enjoyed this small brewery in NC. They had plenty of in-house options to choose from (as well as some externals), and struck up great conversation with a couple beertenders. The $1 scoop snacks are admirable! Something to munch on without spending an unwanted amount on entrees or a food truck. Trend setting in Matthews!
Amazing snacks with pizza that is some of the best made! Love this place! Very busy though!

A great place to visit. After the horrible experience I had at StumpTown nearby I walked over here and enjoyed the ambiance and great and fantastic Wine Selection. After having a few glasses of wine you can order pizza to go home with. What a great hangout and staff was very professional and upbeat. Thank you for the great service and me and my family will be back and spread the good word about this venue.

I love Seaboard! This is a great spot to grab a drink right in the heart of downtown Matthews. This past weekend, we enjoyed a glass of wine at Seaboard then walked to another business on the same street for dinner! I just love nights like that. Their wine selection is updated and maintained by their sommelier who is so knowledgeable. I meant to grab his name. We also did a wine tasting with him on a Tuesday for $10 which was so much fun. I have never eaten food here so I can't speak to that but the charcuterie boards are made to order and look fantastic! They have a Wine Club membership for $50/month includes 3 bottles of wine, a monthly pickup party, and other discounts as well! All in all, I highly recommend Seaboard.
