Me and my dad's favorite burgers since 1983 (for me) and 1965 (for my dad). Went to the coliseum location all through middle and high school (80s) and now the Matthews location. Tastes like my long forgotten youth!

South 21 is one of my favorite places to eat. The Trout dinner never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is clean.

The fried chicken is not good anymore, it stays on that hot plate wth the lights and it is hard. It needs to be fried when the customer orders it so it will taste better.

Nice retro place to go. The hotdogs buns were overcooked the day I went and gave the dogs a funky taste.

Better than the one on Independence, this spot has a diner vibe. Very fresh ingredients, and friendly people. I will say that my 4 stars come from the place, and the people, but the food is only 3.5. Diner environment, very cool. Sundrop...cool. 4.5 stars Hot, friendly, and fresh, even if not amazing food...The dogs and the double burger are solid. I will be back because of the feel, and I will enjoy the food because it's hot and solid.

This place is good not bad not the best the chicken needs some more seasoning. Average place for fast food.
Dont get me wrong, the place looks very nice and the vibe is really cool, but damn, the food is just absolute dissapointment, Ordered both the burger and the chicken, it was literally same as a big mac and the chicken was dry as hell, tons of breading that is hard to chew. The onion rings felt like they were dipped in water, as there was 0 crunch. The fries felt like any store bought frozen ones, just a huge dissapointment overall.

Been going there for many yearsI remember Sam Kopsis owner at south21 on south blvd bringing food to the worker's at the festival in the park many years ago at no charge to show his appreciation for the worker's and the event that was a Class act for a business man that has been around for many years and I was there again at the Matthew's location just the other day. Wonderful food and service ? ? no

Chicken was delicious. Had option of coleslaw for a side, but they do vinegar base vs Mayo. Wish they had both types as an option.
