Ate there for first time about a week ago and loved it. Food had generous portions (took quite a bit home for later meal), well priced, and everyone was friendly. Oh, and the food was delish! Had wings and more. Wing sauces were great--Carolina Gold was our favorite. And the wings were Jumbo sized--not regular sized small wings. Looking forward to next time we can go.

Omg this was amazing. If your looking for a new York style pizzeria this is the place to go. It is just like my favorite pizzeria from when I lived in central New York, feels like I am back home. I'll go back to this place weekly it's that good. The pizza is exactly everything you see as New York style pizza flavor, look and mouth feel. I got baked ziti to take with me to work and it looks sooo good I can't wait to dig in. Check this place out you won't be disappointed

This was the first time dining here. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! We had lots of different items. From the best pizza in town to the specialty salad, meatballs ( which were phenomenal ) pepperoni spirals and the sauce… perfect. I will be back over and over! Jennifer our hostess was wonderful as well! Hope you will open another location in Indian land. We need good pizza on this end!!

Easy and good pizza by the slice (everyone can get what they want, hurrah). They are family run and always very kind. I'm not a fan of the pasta we have tried, but my husband disagrees with me ?. They've recently expanded by taking over the next door store front, allowing for a lot more seating. With that, I really, really wish they would move away from single-use plastic and diningware for those dining in. It's upsetting to watch a single table produce so much waste- foam cups, plastic cutlery, straws, plastic ramekins for sauce. The plates are paper, so that works fine, but the rest should be switched to basic cutlery, reusable glass or plastic cups, and maybe stainless steel ramekins for sauce. I understand there isn't a work around for take out orders, but Johnny Tomatoes could reduce the large footprint it is making. They are well staffed, so I think this would potentially be manageable.

Deep dish pizza was blah, salad was okay but not great. Bread knots were good but chicken was very dry on salad. Atmosphere was good and expected for a pizza joint. Would try regular pizza one time but otherwise there are better options.

Wanted to try this highly recommended pizza place to see if it was up to the hype or just local to where people live so that’s where they go… It was a 7/10 for us. Staff was friendly. Parking was ample. Pizza was definitely better than any franchise place but not in the top 5 pizza restaurants for me in the Charlotte area. We love pizza and realize everyone has their preferred style. We like a thin crust, hearty sauce, with a high quality cheese and toppings. There are so many different pepperonis but this one just wasn’t fantastic. Garlic knots were very tough. We tried a bacon and a pepperoni pizza but if you prefer other toppings I’d recommend you try them. If you’re considering a local franchise delivery place you’ll be very pleased with this option. For self proclaimed pizza connoisseurs, this was solid but just not my favorite.

Johnny needs to get back behind the counter and start making these pizza's like they use too roughly a month ago. Not sure what changed but it's different and not for the better.

If you're looking purely for pizza, this place is fine. You can buy whole pizzas or just slices. Their other food isn't great, however. The grilled cheese is made by toasting both sides of the bread, then adding 3 slices of cheese in it. I could peal the cheese layers apart. They weren't melted at all. We got "Doughknots with Nutella dipping sauce," but we didn't get Nutella, we got cold chocolate icing, too cold to dip the knots in. Overall, it was very underwhelming and disappointing, especially with the dipping sauce being a lie.
My son is such a picky eater. He is always asking for pizza from here!!! So far we have only tried pizza but I can’t wait to try their other food as well!

Our most recent experience at Johnny Tomaties left me with mixed feelings. I specifically asked not to over bake our pizza, but unfortunately it was over baked . The flavors are there but the execution fell short. We did add to our order a Meatball roll which was absolutely delicious and baked to perfection. We also indulged in Buffalo Chicken Calzone that every bite was enjoyed. Staff has always been pleasant and friendly. I won't walk away saying I'll never go back and hopefully Johnny will have a chance to redeem himself.

I am from long island and as any islander knows, not all ny pizza is remotely the same. You find your spot and stay loyal to it. To me this is the best pizza in indian trail hands down!! Perfect crust and flavor (always judge the quality with a cheese pie). We'll be back to explore the menu. Great
