First off, I recieved a terrible attitude from the lady behind the counter when picking up my order. Not the end of the world...people have bad days.What really gets me is I am still suffering from food poisoning after eating this a day and a half ago. I have found out I am not the first. I wonder if they gave me food that had been sitting out all day or something just to save a couple bucks. I don't know, but I feel others should be aware.

Love the food here and the fact they have actual BBQ slaw for the BBQ. Fries are great as well as the hush puppies and brisket, pulled pork, onion rings, it's all really good. Also love that they have Cheerwine in a bottle! They also have several different BBQ sauces to choose from at the tables.

Staff was great but food so dry I nearly broke a tooth...obviously sitting in steamer WAY too long...so couldn't finish my meal...NOT FRESH at all!

Ordered one small brisket plate and one large brisket plate, about $8 difference in price, but the only difference is you get an extra side! No joke. The large plate brisket portion was less than the small, very disappointing. On top of that the small plate (mine) was mostly dry Burnt ends, barely edible. But it's okay, this is how you learn what places to NOT go to.

Really good Texas barbecue right here in the land of Lexington style.The brisket was delicious - both the lean and wet were just right. THE MAC&CHEESE people!! My dad even said, and I quote, “I’d put it right up there with mine”. BOOM! First time in my life I’ve heard him say that, and it is absolutely bangin!The pulled pork was flavorful and juicy, the Texas sausage was delicious with just the right peppery kick to it.The sleeper of the night was actually the sweet potato casserole. It’s one of my mother and I’s favorite dishes, and this one did not disappoint. It wasn’t overly sweet, had nice flavors with a hint of cinnamon that didn’t overwhelm the sweet potato. We both agreed it’s the best we’ve ever had “out”.Keep the smoker hot y’all, we’uns ‘ll be back!Kid-friendliness: Plenty of goodies on the menu for the kids, and if you’re feeling generous, they have a large selection of old school sodas in the bottle to treat them with.
