We had a wonderful time this evening. Our experience was made even better by our server Martha B. She just made our experience exceptional. This restaurant is our favorite place to celebrate our anniversary.

We came here to celebrate my Aunt's 70th birthday as we thought this would be a nice place to finally try.We started off with a couple of cocktails - strawberry-tini and french passion (preferred this one) and the spinach, brie & roasted garlic bake, all of which were great. For our meals:*The Legendary Wellington - filet mignon in a puff pastry and mushroom reduction*Kabobs - filet mignon tips with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes*Airline Chicken- white cheddar stuffed chicken with potato wedgesSides:*White Cheddar Mac & Cheese*Epic Creamed Spinach*Thin Green Beans*Glazed MushroomsThis was our first time trying beef wellington, and it was amazing. The kabobs with the vegetables were also very flavorful. I would say the only thing we didn't enjoy, were the potato wedges as they lacked flavor. The white cheddar mac and cheese was also only okay, would have preferred it to be stronger in cheese flavor and creamier. Again, not the worst, but probably not something I would order again since it was only okay. All other sides were enjoyed. We had to finish with dessert - the highly rated cheesecake topped with caramel and praline, along with, the chocolate chip cookie skillet. While the cheesecake was very good, the cookie skillet was amazing. It was perfectly cooked and I couldn't stop eating it.The only reason I'm knocking off one star is service for two reasons. First, In our reservations, I requested a table off to the side and instead, we were given a loud table smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. For an upscale restaurant, it's disappointing that they did completely opposite of my request and did not even acknowledge my request - no sorry we just couldn't do that tonight. Second, our server was friendly to start with, but then as we received our meals to getting dessert, he seemed to be less than enthusiastic about serving us. Just not the start to finish service you want from an upscale restaurant.Overall, a great dinner and would recommend Epic for a celebratory dinner.

Cozy classy feel. Nice place for a date night or special occasion. Great area for walking around in while you wait too.Everything was delicious: Caesar salad, truffle fries, wagyu, baked potato, meatball appetizer. Did not appreciate the bread appetizer has tree nuts in it but they have no tree nut warning. I brought this up to the waiter and was just told well it's artisan bread. The wagyu was absolutely tender and divine and definitely a must try if visiting for the first time.

I've tried the beef Wellington 3 times now and and every time it's came out raw and not even close to med rare. I sous vide lots of steak and know the temps so I'm not sure why a nice Chophouse can't get steak temps right. My partners steak was underdone as well. Apps were good. As far as atmosphere they don't enforce the dress code as a few people were wearing sports apparel.
Epic is consistently the best steakhouse in the area. I have eaten here more times than I can count and always have fantastic service and delicious food. Get the Caesar salad as a starter - it will change your life!

Crab cakes arrived at table cold. Waitress sent it back to the kitchen. Kitchen staff microwaved the crab cakes and sent them back. After I started to eat, noticed crab cakes were severely burnt on bottom side. Kitchen staff obviously knew they were burnt and turned them facedown. It was so bad, I refused free food to replace my meal. No way should a restaurant this expensive be serving food this low of quality. Wife and I use to eat there all the time. Quality keeps getting worse and worse.

Excellent food, appetizers were also wonderful. Our server was engaging and delightful and even had substantial knowledge about the wine.Ambience was great, except it got a little bit noisy in the bar at the end of our meal (we ate in the bar).

Had date night here last Saturday. My girlfriend and I wanted to try somewhere new. She has never had beef wellington. Found Epic Chophouse on Charlotte foodies it had good reviews. So we went to try it out, we we're not disappointed. I would say 9 out of 10! We had the shrimp appetizer, and it was delicious. We had great drinks,Dirty Martini, and I had the Pineapple Martini. She ordered the Beef Wellington with green beans, and I got the filet and mushrooms. Wow, both meals we're fantastic. Could not eat it all had to bering them home. The meals were cooked to perfection. The waitress was on top of everything and did not miss a beat. The place was nice and varied, layed back atmosphere. We got drinks at the bar before our table was ready. I would say go to the Epic Chophouse if you want great meals and great service! Tell them the Review Guru Sent ya!!

This is definitely a 5 star restaurant. I was a guest at a wedding party Thurs. when I walked thru the door I noticed a sign that said they recently had a fire l, I admired those guys for being there for us during hard times for them. The servers were very nice and attentive they frequently checked on us to make sure things went well. The food was amazing I especially loved the prime rib and the carver I think he was a chef he was so nice to us and made sure everyone ate. The manager made sure my kids were happy when I requested for cups for the kids to play with..a all around great experience will definitely be back
