Service was really good and fast, the food was also pretty good. But the things that aren’t giving it a 5 is green beans and corn bread but the Mac and cheese and the St. Louis ribs were really good. Those are the 2 things I suggest otherwise I’ll give it a 4.

I was there about a year ago and the service and food was not good. I thought I would give them another chance and the service was super. I had the 3 piece pork plate and it was as good as you could find anywhere. I will be going back soon.

Sonny's is my favorite BBQ place. Their brisket is so flavorful, and the ribs are amazing. I always get the Sonny's sampler plate that comes with 4 meats!

Pork sandwich was good. Menu said comes on garlic bread, but it came on a bun. Nothing bad just not what I was expecting. Coleslaw is good. Service was really good. Bethanne was very attentive and polite.

I have eaten a Sonny's BBQ in Florida several times and it was pretty good. However, this is the first time I have ever been to this Sonny's in Mooresville, NC and I have to say this was the worst BBQ I have ever eaten. Were do I start... Ice cold, greasy and just plain old tasting. I spoke to my sister and she said that her and her friend ate there a month ago and it was the same way. I spent over $75.00 and what a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. The other disappointment was that the girl taking my order was as rude as she could be. This is a place I wouldn't recommend at all.
Everytime we give this place a new chance, its always worse. Today, the service was horrendous. Sliced pork was bland. But the loaded tater tots, delicious, although missing quite a few toppings. Pulled pork was decent.

I have been enjoying Sonny's BBQ for over 20 year, and it is almost always excellent. I have even ate from this location a half a dozen times, and it was great. But I just got a plate from this Mooresville location tonight (from doordash), and something wasn't right. I got the sliced pork plate, but instead of it being sliced like it has been for 20 years, it was diced or cubed, which made it vastly inferior in texture and taste to what I am used to in my opinion, and not what barbecue should be. Also, the coleslaw was not the same. Believe me, I know what Sonny's normal coleslaw is like, and this was not it. I have loved the coleslaw at Sonny's for twenty years, but this was awful. It tasted like some prepackaged coleslaw that you would get at Walmart, shipped in from some far off location. Please tell me this was all a big mistake, and Sonny's hasn't downgraded the quality of its sliced pork and coleslaw. Because if it has, I probably will no longer go there.

My family has always enjoyed dining at Sonny's. The food and service are excellent and the prices fair. Our favorite locations have closed in recent years and we have to travel farther afield to find a location.
