Was in Mooresville doing some shopping up the street at the Brawley Furniture outlet and stopped here for some lunch as it was close by, had an appetite for birria, and wanted a place with a patio on the nice Sunday afternoon we were out. Seated quickly and by request out on the patio, which may or may not have been opened up for the season yet. Complimentary chips and salsa came(which let me state I am still thankful is a thing) and were both good, chips hot, salsa mild but tasty. I apologize I took no photos and but all ate tacos nothing crazy, two of us ordered birria and another ordered Al pastor and maybe shrimp. We all liked our food. As I have never been here prior, I can only say I would return if in the area and was looking for Mexican, or Birria in particular. Consommé for dipping was fantastic in the cheesy beefy goodness.

I don’t know if the new menu is due to new management but, very disappointed. We’ve been regularly ordering from here for years and have never had a bad meal. Orders have not always been perfect, but pretty close. Tonight…read the menu description then see what I actually got. So disappointed. No rice, no cheese, found a few pieces of zucchini but mostly onions & peppers. This was definitely not a $15 meal & most certainly not the food we’ve come to love from your establishment.

I have been a Tequilas fan for 15+ years. They WERE my favorite. But the mighty have fallen. The service and atmosphere are good, but the food, which was always GREAT, is mediocre at best. The menu has changed for the worst as well. They are no longer the best but have lowered themselves to be the same as all others. I hope they can find their way back.

Used to love Tequilas. Their ACP is now a “bowl” and barely has any of the cheese sauce (each time we’ve had it) and it used to be so yummy! The fish tacos used to be SO good and they were barely edible today. So sad, not sure what has happened for such good food to have gone downhill ?

So, they are clearly spending their money on trying to update the place…BUT…..it still smells like cleaner when you walk in the door. Big cockroach noted outside before entering. Ordered a shrimp quesadilla which is nothing like it used to be……they’re smaller, using tiny shrimp (and hardly any in it) and no beans and rice with it. Our waiter seemed angry and never came back to offer us refills and we couldn’t find him when we wanted to pay our bill. The bathrooms are disgusting. Sorry! Won’t be back.
We always enjoy coming here!! This place and the service are amazing!!! My kiddos LOVE their queso and chips.

Fun dinner. Wide variety of choices for entrees. Seemed to be very well prepared with nice fresh ingredients. Margaritas, and other drinks, were excellent.
