Being as I was planning my wedding from 1,800 miles away, Brandy made the wedding cake ordering process easier (and speedier!) than I could have imagined. Prior to finding Brandy, when looking for a baker six months prior to our wedding, every baker I found within 40 miles of my wedding venue (my in-laws’ home) in Marshville either was already booked or refused to deliver the cake due to the distance and rural area of my in-laws’ home. Brandy put all my worries to rest and made numerous accommodations to ease my long-distance planning, not to mention affordably and with great communication. My in-laws weren’t able to attend a cake tasting, but based on Brandy’s Google reviews, I had no concern with the cake quality or taste (yes, the Raspberry Champagne cake really is THAT fabulous!). I simply sent Brandy a few Pinterest photos of the cake style we wanted, and together we established the proper size per the guest number as well as the flavor and order of the layers (we did Salted Caramel Mocha Latte, Triple Chocolate and Raspberry Champagne Celebration). Brandy made our wedding day incredibly special and showed genuine excitement for our wedding overall - she didn’t just deliver the cake and leave. Besides the beautiful cake and rave reviews we received from guests, Brandy continues to leave a great impression with her kindness to keep in touch after the wedding, whether through Instagram or otherwise. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Brandy, her talent, and how she’s mastered every aspect of her craft. You won’t be disappointed!

I could not recommend The Icing and the Cake any more! I was recently maid of honor at a wedding where Brandy provided the AMAZING cake. I ordered a cake 3 weeks ahead of schedule for my Assistant. On the day of her birthday, today, I was informed her $70 cake was cancelled an hour ago. I'm very disappointed and lesson learned.?Updated response to owner: The order was placed through a 3rd party vendor. They contacted me an hour prior to estimated delivery to say the order was cancelled by the business. I have a receipt to show if you'd like. I'm not looking for anything, we were just dissapointed and the only recourse was to alert others.

Brandy did an incredible job with our wedding cake (and gluten free cupcakes for my sister)! We chose the raspberry champagne and triple chocolate as our flavors and everyone raved about how delicious the cake was. The presentation was also gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. We asked for a simple design with flowers and it turned out beautifully (see pictures attached). Not only did she do a great job executing what we asked for, she also went above and beyond and made our cake a day earlier than we had originally planned when we decided to move the wedding date last minute (about 2 days before the new wedding date) to the day before due to a tropical storm. We had a great experience with Brandy at The Icing & The Cake and we highly recommend working with her!
