My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it was wonderful! The food and staff were amazing! They even gave us a small gift and signed card from the entire staff which was extremely thoughtful. We’ll definitely go back!

What an outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in we were greeted so enthusiastically and warmly, and we felt from that moment on that we were the most important customers in the restaurant. The folks who work here must be so carefully selected for their passion for hospitality and it really shines through. The atmosphere is just perfect; quiet, elegant, restful and comfortable. Our server, Gillian, could not have been more hospitable and accommodating. She was beyond patient and never rushed as she explained the extensive cocktail, wine and food menus and her knowledge of all was truly impressive. But above all else, her enthusiasm, attention to detail and ability to appear at just the right moments and, just as importantly, to leave us alone when not needed, was spot-on. Gillian is absolutely a people person, a people pleaser, and loves what she does. We will ask for her every time we return.Prime Bistro has a very creative and inspired cocktail menu full of fun drinks, and a very well thought out wine menu with some very good and comfortably priced selections. The menu is extensive, inspired, and very innovative. There are so many dishes we wish to try on a return visit. We started with a cheese charcuterie board and I have to say, where most restaurants who serve charcuterie boards present boards that are so sparse on feels shy picking for fear of taking too much from their fellow diner(s), this board was bountiful and filled with generous portions of four wonderful cheeses, a fig puree, baguette toast points, macadamia nuts and olives and by the time we had worked it over we feared we would have no appetite left for all the wonderful dishes still to come.We then enjoyed a Beet and Goat Cheese salad (wonderful) and a French Onion Soup--interesting, it had some sort of creative twist that tasted a bit off to me. Not my favorite FOS, probably wouldn't get it again. But, when you experiment with new things and celebrate an innovative chef, some new things will be wonderful discoveries and some might not hit the mark. We still all need to keep experimenting! We then enjoyed a pasta with a pork ragu and a pasta and scallop dish. Again, we found the former a little off for our liking but loved the latter. The pace was relaxed because Gillian observed we wished for that, but we were never, ever left waiting to gain Gillian's attention when we needed it.This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but it is truly a very good value nevertheless.; two cocktails, a modest bottle of wine, a charcuterie board, two appetizers and two entrees set us back $200 plus tip. Had we not ordered so liberally I would think most couples would come in under $200 with drinks. Not a weekly event for many people, but for some a very special occasion and for those of us more fortunate a wonderful tool in the toolbox to put in the rotation of our dining endeavors. We drove about 40 minutes from New Bern for the experience and have no regrets. We will be regulars in spite of the considerable commute, and we only hope Gillian and the rest of the truly wonderful staff will never tire of us.

Continued to provide great food and exceptional service.... We are repeat customers and our latest visit was even more special as we were celebrating a birthday. The entire team at Prime made the night really enjoyable and Andy delivered that just right balance of complete professionalism and comfortable engagement as our server. Thank you all again! Can't wait for our next visit.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and were given a cute gift and hand written card. So sweet! The staff is so friendly and the food and drinks are always amazing. We are never disappointed!

Are you kidding, A place in Morehead City costing $100+ per person?Serves Mac and cheese. Get real folks, this culturally stagnant County can't fake it with one overpriced restaurant.

Very relaxed atmosphere with the jazz music on the background. They had some great paintings in the wall as well.Bourbon selection was small.Food was great. Personal taste wasn't very excited about the Mac and Cheese. Mashed potatoes and asparagus definitely outshined the Mac. The Filet Flight was awesome. Cocktails very fresh. Can't comment on the wine as we didn't partake but they had some great bottles.Summer was our server and did a great job. Definitely made the experience.Pictures don't do the presentation justice.Parking: Easy parking.Kid-friendliness: Don't bring your kids here. Adults are trying to enjoy and celebrate. Nobody wants to hear your kid while spending $250-300 on a meal.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and plenty of room for moving around in a chair.

Extremely pleasant experience from the greeting at the door to the food and to the completion of the meal. Outstanding service, beautiful restaurant and outstanding food. Tad bit pricey but great for what you get and a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion.

It was a wonderful, delicious night. So glad we came! The little touches were appreciated. Being greeted at door and knew us said happy birthday to my husband, gift of oil bottles, and cookies at end. All wonderful touches!

What a nice place for an anniversary dinner. Steak was perfect appetizers were sooooo good. Service was OUTSTANDING. Not a fan of the lobster mac and cheese, kinda ok. Everything else...was terrific. They really made our special night great. 20+ years and Silver Oak 2019 Alexander Valley yummmmmmm. Don't leave without Creme Brule.

Our first visit (anniversary). If we could give 10 stars we would. Outstanding from Andy. Manager Sonya could not have more hospitable. Carteret County is blessed to have his gem of exquisite high-end dining.

we came here last night for our anniversary dinner and it was perfection! between the lighting in the restaurant, the music in the background, the incredible service (and an equally incredible bartender!!), and each one of our courses (we started with the lobster dip, moved on to the beet salad, steaks + enhancements for us both, and then had dessert...if you love chocolate cake theirs is a MUST!!!). we will 100% visit this place again!

We ate here in February. I know it is really difficult to maintain standards in a resort town restaurant in the low season. In spite of that the food was very good. I would rate it the best food I have had recently in Morehead City. I would absolutely recommend this to place to friends.

My girlfriend and I ate here for the first time on Valentine’s Day. I’m not sure which was better, The food or the service… The ambiance is superb. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. A special thanks to chef Clark Merrill and our server who recommended the (Filet flight with broccolini, and truffle mac & cheese) Everything was delicious! Thank you for giving us a great Valentine’s Day dinner. We’ll be coming back soon!
