The last time I ate here wasn't so great. My burrito came out and the hamburger meat wasn't fully cooked at all. Neither was my friends food. Halfway cooked thru. Told the manager the issue all he said is yeah we been having problems with that lately. He left nothing else to say. He didnt bother to get us something else to eat or anything. We waited for someone to come help us maybe order something different but no one came back to our table. We got up and left.

This is my #1 go to for Authentic Mexican food, though I don't order to many things, there is a couple of servers here that have actually put me on to some new dishes that I have never had before, that I will be ordering from now on, great place, especially after lunch rush...

About as authentic (close to home recipes) as you can get.Try the Tres Leches, the tamales, and the chile relleno.I will say this: only thing that turned me off was the corn tortillas. These were the ones I don't like- the smell is way too intense. I found out from an ex-boyfriend (who is Mexican) that these are the ones that are pumped full of calcium, whereas the standard ones aren't.Salsa bar- It's fabulously fresh, but very hot. I would have loved to have pickled onions, but not with habaneros in them.Very appreciative for the talents of the staff. :)

I'm here now at Habenero's in Morganton. The food is great, I ordered chicken fajitas and they came out sizzling. I also ordered white cheese for the chips. It was warm, not hot, but okay. Halfway through my meal, I had to request a different table, in the other section near the door, because there was a customer in the booth next to mine who was vaping. I complained, but she was not asked to stop. I ended up having to move,vand she's still vaping in the other section. I won't be coming back. Dos Amigos in Lenoir has way better food, and no one is allowed to vape there. If you come here, just be sure to sit near the door.
Really good yummy Mexican restaurant. Waitress was nice and quick with chip and drink refills.

Habaneros is one of the best Mexican Restaurants I have ever ate at. Delicious food, friendly staff, clean and vibrantly decorated, and reasonably priced! My fav is the Choripollo…so good!
