Best bake shop in Mount Airy. Today, for the Autumn Leaves Festival, Samantha served chocolate cheese cake with your choice of toppings. Lip-smacking good.

Excellent cinnamon rolls, vanilla chess bar, berry crumble bar and cheese cake bar. We will stop there again!

I visited Anchored specifically to try the regional favorite, Sonker. It wasn't good: canned cherry pie filling topped with not-cooked-thru dough. I will give the bakery a 4 rating, tho, on account of several of their other offerings looked really good (cheesecake bars, for instance), so hopefully the Sonker was just a miss. Seating area is cute and open also.

Spur of the moment decision to stop for dessert for a group lunch. First visit. We chose an assortment of strawberry, Oreo and vanilla cupcakes. These were a hit, deliciousness all around.Looking forward to trying the cinnamon roll, cheesecake and mini pies among other items at a future visit.

So very disappointed, it has been excellent in past but today’s cinnamon bun was dry and tasteless. Sure the icing was sweet but overall below average. I will not return not worth the drive.

I’ve been twice. The sticky buns and cinnamon rolls look delicious but they are not, they have very little flavor are are wasted calories, as far as I’m concerned. I will say the meat pies are delicious, but the same lady has waited on me twice now and couldn’t possibly be any less friendly without being rude. She is standoffish, as if she resents your coming in, and it wasn’t just me. If you don’t have the personality to deal with the public, then please hire staff that does. I always cheer on small businesses, but I have a hard time saying very much in favor of this place and I most certainly will not be back and have already shared my experience with friends and family.

There is always something great to choose from to cure your sweet craving. The brownies are wonderful. My husband bought an assortment of treats for our anniversary and they were all amazing and nicely packaged. Highly reccomend Anchored!

We had the tomato pot pie for lunch and it was quite good, a nice light meal, but the staff was aloof and borderline rude, on their phone, not pleasant. Made for a so-so experience.

We ordered a Red Velvet with Cream Cheese cake for our daughters Birthday/Halloween party and it was phenomenal. Absolutely delicious! Everyone was raving about it and went for seconds !

Today was my first time visiting and I have to say that I am so impressed! The atmosphere was amazing, with gentle instrumental music playing. Love the Anchor decor
