Great beer with nothing but nature around. There's a pretty good chance you can see a eagle over the woods or lake from here.

We always enjoy this brewery for their unique brews and a big outdoor space! Conveniently located for outdoor enthusiasts - near Linville gorge, Fonta Flora Trail, Lake James, and there's even a trail that leads from the brewery along Paddy's Creek to Lake James. Danielle was our latest bartender and she was exactly who you'd want to greet you - she was warm and accommodating and also made sure our dogs had a fresh bowl of water. They have a great selection of merch and canned/bottled beer to go! The food truck selection and availability is hit or miss, so don't go there hungry, go there thirsty!

Great atmosphere! We are visiting from out of town so we were hoping they served food as well, they do not. Good beer and variety.

Great people, and beer. Didn't know it existed until I was having car trouble, overheating. They quickly hooked me up with antifreeze, and a great IPA. I highly recommend having car trouble there, lol. I'm going back!

While Fonta Flora Brewery may not be situated in Asheville proper, it's a must visit oasis nestled along the winding roads of Nebo, North Carolina. If you're planning a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway – which is a must-do experience – consider extending your journey to discover Fonta Flora Brewery. This charming farm brewery, complete with a friendly brewery cat, offers an authentic and rustic atmosphere that's as refreshing as their beers. The most unique beer we tasted at Fonta was the refreshing and unique “Beets Rhymes and Life” saison. The 5% saison made with locally grown beets may not be for everyone, but it was certainly a unique experience. How often have you had a beets beer? My guess it not often.Fonta Flora Brewery invites you to embrace the rustic charm of Nebo and experience the untamed flavors of their farmy, funky beers. If you find yourself on the Blue Ridge Parkway, make the journey to this hidden oasis of craft brewing – it's a detour well worth taking for a taste of the wild.@Beerventurers

They're dog friendly on the deck (with space heaters) and outdoor space. Unfortunately pets aren't allowed inside. You can bring your own food if their pizza truck is closed.

Yep. This is the spot. Absolutely fantastic beers and probably one of the best locations we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. It's just gorgeous, everyone was super nice and we loved our beer. Can't wait to go back if we are ever up that way again.

My wife and I stopped here on our way to TN and it did not disappoint. In fact we let it take the rest of our day.

Perfect ambiance especially after being out on lake James. The beers are good and there is so much room outside of relaxing and seeing the mountains in distance

Stopped here after heading to the Linville Falls. Amazing beer, beertenders are knowledge and fun, basketball court to shoot around on whilst drinking, gardens to explore, plenty of games (horeshoes, cornhole, frisbee gold holes). Highly recommend.

The beer choices are abundant and eclectic. Most importantly the beer is very high quality. The setting is idyllic..The food truck stopped serving 15 minutes early because they were a little behind. Pitiful work ethic. We will eat elsewhere before coming next time. They only serve burgers and hot dogs.

Excellent beer made out of high quality ingredients. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and a food truck that offers a limited menu, yet very tasty food such as grass fed beef burgers and bratwurst. We brought a small speaker and played music while the kids played frisbee and other outdoor games. Give this local place a try. Support local, small businesses.

Always a fun time. A ton of beer selections. But if you are hungry too, be warned. The food trucks are hit or miss and usually miss. Maybe they have 1 or 2 trucks but the wait for your food is long (45-60 min) and they run out of various items. Farm-like atmosphere is unbeatable though.

They have a cat. It’s really friendly. That’s 5 stars in my book. They also have delicious beer, a wonderful outdoor seating area, and friendly bartenders. Could maybe use some bean bag toss or hammerschlagen.

An incredible place! We make the trip from Black Mountain and it's certainly worth it. Wide open space and it's noteworthy that they keep it that way; they could certainly put more picnic tables and whatnot, but they keep it nice and open. Great selection of beers for most every palate and the beers are delectable. Great service, great atmosphere and unbeatable location.
