Firehouse has the best bread and meats. We are always satisfied when we leave. The employees were patient and friendly as well.
We have gone to firehouse subs multiple times and the food has always been good, this time was not the case when we went I went in to place a to go order and when I was walking up to the restaurant there is trash and all in the flower beds and in the parking lot. Then we went inside and everyone was sitting down which would of been fine but there was work that could of been done. I had to go to the bathroom when I got done ordering and it was not clean. The food was okay but not the best I have had there.

Wait time was long, on wheat not white, lacked the sauce on the Italian footlong. Very unusual as we go there quite often but will think about other places now.

I've been here previous times always had a great experience. Unfortunately this time was not the case to start off we came around 6 and the door was locked and the employees were all up front eventually someone came to the door we noticed they moved a zip tie over to keep the door locked when a few more customers tried to come to the door no one opened it for them. All the employees were just standing around and just talking while ingoring customer who tried to come in. The phone would ring multiple times as they just stood there talking or being on their personal phones. Our food was messy and barely any condiments on it. To top it off when we were leaving at 6:43pm a man and a woman were smoking outside still in their aprons the same ones who helped make our food. Which is very unsanitary and honestly just gross.

The entire place needs to be closed and cleaned top to bottom. The rug near drink dispenser was soak from the sodas and teas. The floor was super sticky. The chairs are filthy.

While the service was good the food was bad. Both my husband and my son have been in stomach pain and the bathroom multiple times since eating there yesterday. My son had a medium turkey bacon ranch to himself and my husband had half of a large since we shared 2 different sandwiches which was the new york streamer and I can't remember the name of his sandwich. I thankfully only had half of each half. I'm thinking it was the turkey since that is what they had in common. It was our first time at this firehouse since moving here and we will not be back. The place itself is quite dirty and I should have known better.
I was very disappointed tonight.My sandwich was not good. The restaurant was nastyAnd the bathrooms were horrible.Two workersWe're sitting at the table on their phones as if they had nothing to do.The older gentlemanWas working hard behind the counter.I will not go back to the one in New Bern.

I tried to use the T-Mobile free sub with a purchase. I ordered chips for $1.79. I came to a total of 3.58 plus tax. The cashier did not know how to make it work. Just said that's the way the app works. Another gentleman told me that he I could wait for Mike (who offered me something to drink and chips while I waited for Mike? Reason for two stars instead of one )be there in 5 minutes. Well I was there a total at half an hour and still didn't get any satisfaction of being able to place my order so I left there without any food...I'm a 71-year-old female and they should have just given me the sub paid for the chips and they could have dealt with it later with Mike.
