My wife and I like to find a good cheese steak and pizza when we travel. We'll let me tell you this wonderful little restaurant has it all, and it's one of the best cheese steaks I've eaten, and I've enjoyed a lot, trust me. And the pizza dam it is good, the service is fast ,the staff is just the most attentive. It's a very clean place to. Also, excellent fried ice cream the only drawback is parking I had to circle the block a couple times but it was worth the time.

I would turn down Chef Mike(most have the setting to turn off the ding), and maybe turn up ANY music. The 4.6 review on google is why I went. The Empty dining room at 4:30 on a Saturday is why I shouldn't have. The "food" is why I won't return. Let's start with the dining room, silent. So quiet in fact I could hear the microwave heating my appetizer of pretzels, which came out at about the temperature of the sun. I made the mistake of thinking I'd be getting handmade pretzels, when what I got was the frozen box abomination out of a supermarket frozen section. My wife ordered the wings, I order a 10" pizza. She would recount how they had that "microwaved meat" texture. My 10" "pizza" was served on an oversized platter that made me feel jipped due to my monkey brain thinking it should be on a ten inch platter. It seemed as though this was the "by the slice" pre cooked pizza, with sausage thrown in and heated up. The crust and sauce were devoid of anything resembling "flavor" or "herbs". It seemed as though whomever assembled it opened a can, and that was the extent of flavor development. Thank you, for allowing me to see where I won't be dining in the future. Update: you cooked the chicken wings twice? That probably contributed to the rubbery consistency. I couldn't hear the roaring of the wood fired oven, over the beeping of the microwave and the servers asking for the key to bathroom like children. The pretzels were hot and the pizza was lukewarm and flavorless, was the "freshest ingredient" AIR? You can accomplish a lot with unlimited funding, doesn't mean "menu offerings" are worth the time or investments.

My husband and I really enjoy the food from Savage's!!! We have gotten numerous lunches during the work week and they were all delicious! We have had great chef salads, pepper steak subs, & turkey tomato basil wraps. We haven't tried the pizza yet, but I feel sure it is delicious also. Service, food, & atmosphere are wonderful❣

Firstly, Maddie our server and the hostess were wonderful. Very polite, professional, and attentive. We wandered in after attending Tryon Palace Family day. We ordered a 14” cheese and a fried ice cream for dessert. They were both okay. We had an issue with a rude customer and management handled it promptly and professionally. It’s definitely not their fault who decides to eat there but I’m glad they handled it.

Greeted with a broken front door handle that’s falling off the door. There’s absolutely no music it’s awkwardly quiet. Never got any menus I went and got one for our table. Waitresses seemed very inexperienced and disappeared for long periods of time. Pizza was bland wasn’t anything special. Tables beside us had to ask several times for refills and napkins. Atmosphere is outdated. Not worth the money.

Just ate there recently and the food was amazing. Service was impeccable, the waitress refilled our drinks and checked on us not too often, but just the right amount of times at exactly when needed. The ambiance was nice too - very homey and welcoming. Am hoping to eat here again tomorrow. Wish this place was in my home town. Highly recommend.

This is the best pizza in town. They also offer Gluten Free pizza, as I have an allergy. It is the best around. My husband also loves the Baby Boli's and I love the GF Italian sub, (I get it toasted). The service is always above and beyond!

We were visiting New Bern and drive past savages and decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad we did! We got the chicken Alfredo pizza and it was amazing!! As you can see from the photos it was enjoyed lol. I highly recommend you trying their pizza. I’m surprised they weren’t popping up in there by how good their food is! Five stars all day everyday!!!
