Five stars for ambience. Zero stars for service. No rating for the drinks, because we were never waited on. My husband, his parents, and I were excited to try this new bar in New Bern. The bartender completely ignored our entrance into the bar. We were the only patrons there, so we were hard to miss. Because of the lack of attention, my mother-in-law asked the bartender if they were open. He responded, "Yes, I'll be with you in a minute." We waited...nothing. A friend of the bartender entered. Not only was he served first, the bartender engaged in conversation with him, continuing to ignore us. We waited an additional five minutes, giving him the benefit of the doubt. Nothing. We walked out. First impression...disappointment.

The vibes after the revamp are immaculate! Bartenders are kind and efficient, drinks are great and the overall atmosphere is perfect! The “reed reviver” is very good! Definitely worth stopping in for a drink!

Intimate, fun, neighborhood bar. Unique cocktail list, including a drink smoking machine. Had a smoked Old Fashion and it was tasty.
