“Yovani was our waiter and he was excellent! The food was excellent! The house margarita was the strongest and best margarita we’ve had this trip. The restaurant was very clean as well as the bathrooms. We are very happy to have passed up 6 other places and end up at El Mexicano Tacos & Tequila!!“

“There's a very good reason why this restaurant is usually busy at dinner time! The food is excellent, the staff friendly and efficient, and the restaurant clean and well appointed. The birria tacos, as well as the quesotacos absolutely fantastic. Cindy, the bartender, makes great margaritas, and is fun to chat with. I wish I had time to try more of their dishes, everything I saw come out looked amazing. If/when I get out here to Havelock again, this restaurant is definitely on my list to return to!“

“I was here Friday night and it wasn’t too busy at the time. Food was fresh, hot and got to me QUICK, before I could even finish my first beer.My waiter was a cool dude and definitely knows how to wait, upsale correctly, and make customers feel welcome.Look forward to going back10/10“

“We love this place for great Mexican cuisine. Agree with other posts that the restaurant is very clean. Food is excellent & reasonable pricing. Myra is the best server. Maria very good server also. Nachos has 3 different superb sauces (hot to mild) to go with the pre-meal chips that are served warm. We enjoy the Chile Relleno a lot plus @ $5 it's a great price.Parking: It's next to Food Lion so lots and of free parking“

Haha we ordered the large quesadilla with rice & beans & churros for dessert ? the churros do come with ice cream and chocolate dipping sauce ? $16 & me and my fiance split it so about $8 per person and we were absolutely stuffed. “Our family ordered take out from Plaza Mexico and all I can say is Wow! The food was nicely packaged and the portions were huge. I got the chicken fajita quesadilla supreme, which was loaded with chicken, onions and mushrooms. Our family ordered burritos, enchiladas and queso, along with chips and salsa. Everyone enjoyed their meals and some had leftovers for the next day. The house made salsa was very tasty and not too spicy. I would highly recommend the Morehead city location for a good, authentic Mexican meal.“

“In town for a few days, picked up Mahi-Mahi and Shrimp Tacos as dinner to go. Fantastic falls short of how good these truly are. Best fish tacos I’ve had. Jalapeno crema is not overdone, just enough. Fish grilled perfect, shrimp grilled perfectly. Fresh onion relish. Also grabbed some chili for lunch the next day Solid, meaty, great flavor. And a huge bonus (for me at least) Paulaner Hefe on TAP!!!“

“The lady with the teal hair who took my order today was very kind and showed fantastic customer service. The line was a little slow, but it was lunch rush so just expect that. I got a chicken quesadilla and root beer and a cheesy roll up for my son. Everything was warm and perfectly proportioned. I've been to taco bells where they either skimp or put too much and your food spills all over the place. Definitely a well ran taco bell from what I've experienced.“
