Trash can nachos were terrible.. not sure what kind of cheese but it was almost thin consistency like grease but orange, not cheesy at all. I think the idea is good, just use real cheese ? Shredded and melt it perhaps. The pub chips were great. Husband ordered a steak and it was also cooked well. Prices were average. Atmosphere was ok and beer selection just ok. Just average on scale of restaurants for me.

Wow! My first experience with The Lost Wombat! A great little, friendly venue! It not only offers great food and superb service, but also warm, friendly, attentive service. Additionally, there entertainment opportunities! Pool and corn hole to name two!! I completely recommend this warm welcoming place!!

Went on a weekday and food and service were great . Will definitely go back on a Friday or Saturday night to take advantage of the game room. Plus this is a dog friendly establishment with a place for them to play outside.

Literally popped my Super Bowl Balloon. Called my order in 10 minutes after the restaurant opened to place an order of wings for my kid and I. Literally starved ourselves to the point of frustration, looking forward to eating “The best wings in town”. Welp turns out the receptionist remembered talking to me over the phone. But just somehow could not find my order. There was no offer to put in a rush order to keep my service. All the young lady could say was I’m sorry. Well I had to tell my kid sorry son we’re going to Macdonalds. FIRST IMPRESSION IS THE BEST. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! The Lost Wombat is Lost alright! And lost my service for good!

If you have seen this restaurant and decided on something else SHAME ON YOU. This spot is the future of North Wilkes. This restaurant will forever hold the title of best wings I have ever had. It's just not possible to beat. Place is amazing, outside area is legit. Full bar as well. This place might as well hire security now, come now before you're waiting hours to get in. Also, this is the lunch special. 5 wings, side, and drink for 10$...I would have paid 16$....easily...

I so wanted to love this place. But there was nothing to even like. First of all, the temperature inside the restaurant was about 55 degrees. The staff was even bundled up wearing jackets and wool hats. We ordered the food, understanding from their menu it takes up to 20 minutes to get a burger. We ordered 2 and the split fried hot dog. We started with Mozzarella Sticks, and they arrived hot. Nothing special, but predictable. We then waited a full 40 minutes for the two burgers and the hot dog. When the burgers arrived, they were at best room temperature (which was 55 degrees), along with the tater tots. There was nothing special about the two cheese burgers. I expected a thick beef patty for the expected 20 minutes, but it was below average thickness. The hot dog was fairly large, split and fried, also almost cold, and the 'house made chili' was basically a tomato chili, with no discernable meat. The slaw on it was ok. I did not complain because we were hungry and freezing to death, and just wanted to pay and leave. Compared to the other reviews, this had to be a day that was very off for the staff. The staff was friendly, and probably only working as fast as the kitchen could produce food.

All I have is WOW! Little hidden gem… A friend told us about this spot knowing my love for food and wings and how specific I am (to put it nicely) about them!! We decided to give it a try… Atmosphere was great, not too crowded or loud… Our waitress was sweet, personable, knowledgeable, and helpful!! Couldn’t have had a more perfect dinner out. We don’t go out to dinner much because of how “specific” I am and I am usually always disappointed!! Very seldom do I come across such greatness in a restaurant, enough so-we shall return and continue the spread of the word!! I ate things I never did like or could eat… their homemade queso was on point! The hot buffalo and barbecue wings were fantastic! The crinkle cut fries were just the right amount of crispy to soft ratio… Let’s not get me started in on the trash can nachos-which I mainly ordered for the name!!!! The sodas were well carbonated!! Only disappointment was there were no shirts to be purchased!! I love me a good tee to wear to show my support of an establishment- maybe next time!!

This is the second time we have tried this restaurant and unfortunately we have been disappointed each time. Chicken tenders and tater tots so over cooked we couldn’t eat them. Nachos barely had toppings and never got refills, napkins, service was just as horrible as food. Highly disappointed because this place had potential.

Place is not much to look at. Old building with broken and dirty interior walls. Dirty floors and tables and mediocre service. There were several menu items unavailable, including chicken wings, steaks and chicken thighs for their fried chicken sandwich. We had their garbage can nachos with ground beef. The chips are made fresh but are thick, overcooked and tasteless. The ground beef was a burnt hamburger broken up and tossed into the mix. Cheese sauce was runny and there wasn't enough to coat what wound up being a $13 pile of thick corn tortilla pieces. The hot dog with chili and chopped onions was ok. It was $9.50 and included one side. I chose onion rings which were freshly made and good. The rings came with a dipping sauce which was on the sour side, either from sour cream or Dukes mayo. They substituted a chicken breast for the chicken thigh in the sandwich. It was a goodly amount and the salad as a side was nice.Alcoholic Drinks are reasonably priced. The bill for two of us, including 2 drinks and a sweet tea was $55.We will probably try again.
