I don't recommend because the food is bland. They don't use butter. If I'm going to eat a lot of calories I'd like the food to taste good. They cook eggs with oil and vegetable spread on pancakes and biscuits. Bland! Bland! Bland!

Everything was great. We come here every time we come down here to Oak Island. The staff is fantastic and so is the food.

The breakfast is delicious. I usually get their omelette, and it is so fluffy. This is the best place to have breakfast on the island.Vegetarian options: The vegetable omelette is delicious. It has tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. They do have salads, vegetables, and fish.Parking: There are more parking spaces since the lot was re-done.Kid-friendliness: It is kid-friendly, because it's a family environment restaurant. There are menu choices for kids.

The Old Bridge Diner is a little hole in the wall spot adjacent to a gas station. It is in a quaint area of Oak Island, and great for a lunch stop. It is a small place, the seating was a little tight for the four of us for lunch, but we managed. Portions here are very large, and very inexpensive. We tried a few favorites. The Old Bridge Breakfast, the BLT, small salad, shrimp po boys and sides. With drinks and tax for 4 people the total was $50. Pretty nice price. Stop in for breakfast or lunch when in Oak Island for a little nostalgia. It will take you back in time.

The service and everything we ordered was very good but I have mention the clam chowder. I love clam chowder and I order it all the time, but this was one of if not the best I have ever had. It was full of clams and had an amazing flavor.
