Kays is a great local mom and pop diner. They have country food on the buffet bar and an assortment on menu.The service is good but it can get packed at lunch time. I would place an order on those days.Definitely try the subs and chicken and pastry!

You will also enjoy and appreciate the natural small town neighborly kindness of the staff! We even experienced an extra pleasure when meeting and having a wonderful conversation with the Librarian of UNC/Pembroke who had come in for a meal as well!
