Sunday, March 3, 2024A very stylish Spanish restaurant. Although the chef is not Spanish, he studied in Barcelona and interprets the essence of Spanish cuisine very well. Although the oil-soaked prawns do not use crayfish, they still taste good; the paella has crispy rice, which tastes authentic.

It’s a cool place but quite tight. It’s pretty loud so be prepared to raise your voice to talk. Half of the dishes we had were awesome like the mushroom toast and the paella. We also had crisp artichokes which were just tempura so those were alright. The branzino was decent but have had better.

Great experience!! Came here for a date night with my husband for the first time. Easy to make reservations. Our server Nate was really attentive and helpful at explaining things. We got the Brussels sprouts, sweet potato r hummus, olives, and empanadas. We ordered the chicken plate and it was so delicious- all of our food was good. Nate recommended a great Red wine for us. The only drawback was the noise level in the restaurant. Very loud so hard to communicate with each other.

Me and my sister ate here and had a less then stellar experience. The general manager reached out to us to try again (dinner on him) and me and my husband went to the Reston VA location and it was absolutely incredible. Food and service was amazing! Will definitely be back. Special shout-out to Jed as he went above and beyond with his hospitality.

I always loved Barcelona wine bar. Went to different locations. I’m a wine girl so this is very much of my place. And their food remind me a lot of my hometown food. How interesting Spain and China have so many similarities in our cuisine history. We made reservations at 7 pm. When we came in 10 mins earlier still have to wait for 20 mins for the table to set up. I mean what’s the point of making reservations if I still have to wait at the door when I came in.I think is a very nice spot to came in with friends!!!

After reading all of the reviews, I was excited to try Barcelona for my birthday. We did have to wait another 30 minutes past our reservation which is less than desired, but it was a busy Saturday night so it is understandable. We were seated beside a sheer curtain separating us from a ridiculously rowdy private party. Even our server commented on how loud they were when we could hear them cheering and see them waving their napkins in the air through the curtain. Despite being unable to hear my date, not all was lost. The drinks and food were amazing. Definitely get the potatoes! The sauce is magical.

Great food and wine! The meat sampler is really great. Everything cooked to perfection. The shrimp and carrot puree was really good. The warm olive oil cake was great. Potatoes and the veggies were really tasty. Server was great with helping me choose a wine. Continued to bring me samples until I found the right one. They even sold us a bottle of our favorite red wine from the menu. This is one of our favorite places to dine while visiting Raleigh. Dined with picky eaters and they loved everything. Thank you for a great meal and experience.

We went here to celebrate a friends birthday and they were so accommodating! We had a group of 10 people with many orders throughout our time and Kathleen was amazing! She had recommendations for each person including ensuring allergies were cared for in detail! She split the checks for us and went above and beyond when caring for us throughout our evening. It was a truly lovely experience.Dietary restrictions: They had a personalized menu for each person with allergies.

We just came from eating at the restaurant in Raleigh and I have to say that the service was wonderful as well as the food. We tried the seafood paella this time and it was very good.Croquettes, cheese, ham were so good, too.The experience was really great. The treatment by all the staff was excellent and the atmosphere was very good. I recommend it 100%.

This used to be one of my favorite spots but the service here has become abysmal. The last two times I came here, the waiters are constantly asking me if I'm finished with my plate half full and asking me if I want another drink with me clearly still sipping on my drink. Servers always trying to get you to order more or clear the table for the next customer leaving no chance to savor your food or drink. Will be finding a new spot to dine. It is sad that the service here has become like that.

My sister and I had such a disappointing experience this weekend. We've been here before, but if this was the first time, we would have never came back. We waited 25+ minutes for our reservations, which seems to be the norm but you would think they'd have this sorted by now. The host seemed chaotic and annoyed when we checked in, barking "just wait a minute!" after I have waited....25. We finally got seated and our waiter left a lot to be desired. He was seriously aloof and I'm not sure even wanted to be there. He hardly checked on our table, I don't think he personally brought a single dish out and avoided us at all costs. Luckily there was a woman "helping" him who made up for the lackluster experience. We waited 25 minutes for ribs that apparently were sent to another table but also "they take a long time to cook," so unsure which one it was. We only know this because we stopped him to ask where they were, not because he offered any updates. He also asked if we still wanted them? Which was confusing because yes, we ordered them and two, we were still hungry. I think if we weren't, we would have just left. He stopped by towards the end to offer a "just so you know" my manager removed two different tapas from your menu, as if he was doing us a favor for the terrible experience. We could not wait to leave, but we're stuck there another 15 minutes waiting on olive oil cake to go. The manager never stopped by after she/he? comped our tapas, which also seems bizarre. Wouldn't you stop to ask about our experience? It's unfortunate since this is one of my favorite spots in Raleigh and we drove an hour to dine here. Probably won't be back, there's a lot of other dining options in Raleigh with much better service.
