Goos value, big portions, but dissapointing quality. Grits with cheese, no flavor. One cup had lipstick marks still on it.

I left from a doctor appointment nearby and decided to grab a bite to eat. I usually eat at the Big eds in garner and downtown.I remember my dad saying there is one off wake forest rd. I was taken to my seat which my server was training a young lady. They both were lovely and I ordered the fried cat fish ,cheese grits ,white toast, one egg and a sweet tea. I was checked on a few times and the food was good until I cut into my fish and saw this. I quietly told the training waitess and she grabbed the other waitress both looked disgusted and apologizing . They told the lady who was working the front(manager?) . I hear her talking and she comes to the table. She tells me it's a normal part of the egg. I told her at first I thought it was cheese until it kept being pulled directly from the fish. She shook her and said nope its the egg. She asked did I want my food and I decline because im disgusted. It did not sit well so I googled worm in cooked fish. The photo looks identical. I shown my waitess the two photo and reiterate it was from the fish . She continue to apologize a few times and I tipped her. I checked out with the same lady and shown her the google photo . She offered nothing to fix the problem since "its from the egg". I reluctantly paid and left. I just want to warn people of the risk that can happened and you will be left "odd parts from the egg"

1st time ordering here: When placing the order on the phone the employee kept stressing what order number each item was, yet when we got the food it was all mixed together and it shouldn’t have been. The country ham had a human hair on it. (I was done with my meal after seeing the hair. So..I just fed 2 biscuits to the birds, and threw away 2 orders of tomatoes, red eye gray, and 2 eggs. The red eye gravy was gross. I took a sip of it and it tastes like bottled soy sauce. This was a mess!

We went on Tuesday, 4/2, for a late breakfast. We were seated and the server, Chas, greeted us with a friendly welcome. The restaurant has a country atmosphere that we liked. Took our order and plied us with good hot coffee. My wife had a spinach and mushroom omelet and I had a pork loin breakfast. They were served before we could finish our first cup of coffee and the tastes were scrumptious. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The next time we are in Raleigh, we will eat here again.

This restaurant was great!!! I ordered the chef salad and it had to be the biggest salad that I have ever had. The service was on point and I have got to give brownie points to our server Centel. He was very friendly and efficient. Whoever prepared the salad I also give a thumbs up to. The price was very reasonable and my husband also enjoyed his food. So overall I give this restaurant an At.
