It's a lovely venue but being charged $29 including tax for a finger of Ardbeg 10 year - which goes for $70 a bottle at the ABC store - struck me as more than a little excessive.

We came in while wandering around and were engaged quickly by the bartender. My wife had a beer and I had a mocktail which was very good. We couldn't really have asked for anything better. Plus, my wife made a friend!

This place was so fun and had great drinks! The service and bartenders were so attentive and friendly! I know it is new so my only notes are that the lights at the tables are a little too bright (I love dim lighting at 10:30pm haha). Also how about bringing out a little dance floor space in front of the projector after 11? Overall amazing and I’m so glad to have a new go to in downtown Raleigh!

Really great drinks and vibes but the lights are too bright for a bar at 10:40pm.

Service was awful. The server should have stayed home. She had the worst attitudeOnly the nice decor and the underground speak-easy flair made it a better experience. However, we will not be back.No reason to pay high prices for this kind of service receivedWheelchair accessibility: It's downstairs with one entrance only.

Came here after a disappointing experience at another DTR cocktail bar. I'm so glad it's back! Great drinks and cozy atmosphere, I'd love to see some new items on the menu next time I come back ?

Very cool atmosphere, decent cocktails and snacks. Nothing wow, nothing terrible. I'd hang out here again.

Cool vibe and great food to snack on (the deviled egg toast thing was banging). Cute spot for a date night
Fox Liquor Bar is trying hard to become my favorite craft cocktail bar in Raleigh. Good service. A nice selection of delicious house cocktails. Talented bar tenders in a cozy basement bar. That alone puts Fox in the mix when talking about Raleigh’s craft cocktail scene. And then I had some snacks. OMG their bar snacks are next level delicious. The chicken hand pies are the best pasties I’ve had outside of Scotland. And the onion dip… let’s just say I will remember my life as the lost years I spent prior to trying the onion dip at Fox and the much happier and fulfilling years I’m certain to have just knowing that onion dip is out there.

Great environment, quite enough to have a conversation, loud enough to not hear others! Josh, the manager, made sure we were taken care of. Shea, and Chris (bartenders) made sure we had everything we needed. All around great nightThanks all,

Found the coolest bar Saturday. It’s basically under Ashely C’s (Michelin Star Chef in Raleigh) Beasley’s Chicken and Waffles eatery but you go around the side and down steps to a cool, dark, well laid out bar. Drink menu but the bartender can make pretty much what you want, and they have food also (from upstairs??). A few tables to sit at as well as the bar and booths around the side walls. While a little pricey, it was good and a place I will visit again.

Fox is back, just how you remember it. Atmospheric, great drinks, great music. If you've never been, now is the chance to experience the fantastic underground bar.
