We hired HL Catering for both my Bridesmaid Luncheon on Friday and our wedding on Saturday. Both days we were blown away with the service of the team and quality of the food. I loved that we were able to go in for tastings in their kitchen, to really see how the food was being prepared. I feel like more often, foods at weddings doesn't hit the mark because there's either not enough of it, or it's cold, or not very tasty. I truly didn't have that experience for my wedding weekend. EVERYTHING was perfect and I will definitely be referring them and using them again in the future.

Did not show up for scheduled meeting due to "getting pulled into the kitchen" and was then informed that our previously mentioned wedding date was booked. Better admin work would go a long way.

HL Catering catered our wedding and this was hands down one of the best and easiest decisions we made for our wedding. Everyone raved about our food after the wedding, I think the duck pastrami grilled cheese will be the most remembered food item from our wedding. The whole team was incredible and attentive to us and all our guests. They took our food allergies very seriously which is something we were so appreciative of with family members have severe food allergies. They were incredibly easy to work with and handled my million questions and tweaks leading leading up to the wedding. We had the best tasting with them and I would highly recommend if you are considering them for your wedding. HL Catering Company is a one of a kind company. Not only do they have the best food compared to the other catering companies in the triangle area in my opinion, but the people also make it all worth it. This field is very fast paced, sometimes stressful, and is not your typical 9-5. However, the people are wonderful, the servers are amazing and hardworking, and I truly felt like a part of family. I worked as a server for them for 4 years before becoming a Sales and Event Coordinator, and I loved working in both roles. As a server, having the flexibility to choose my hours and see a lot of amazing events happen, while making a really great hourly wage, and as a coordinator, working to pull off even more amazing events and learn more about the events industry. The tips are great too! I had to leave due to moving out of state, but I still regularly come back to work events when I can, just because I miss everyone so much. If you have the opportunity to work here, take it! They expect you to work hard, leave all the drama outside of work, and be a good representation for the company. If you can do that, this job is a great fit.

On that call they asked questions about who we are as individuals, how we met, and they took the time to get to know us. After that call they put together a completely custom menu, just for us. For example, we met in little Italy in San Francisco, so the table bread was sourdough and focaccia. Its the little intentional details like that that made it easy to choose HL before we even did a tasting. Their food is absolutely fantastic, and our guests had so many creative and fun options. HL kept the wedding completely nut free, and even created a custom dish for a guest who is allergic to so much they usually have to pack their own meal for weddings. Everything reflected our personality from a frose station welcome drink, to the burrata cart during cocktail hour and the late night sliders. There was a sudden summer storm that made dinner service more complicated for the team, but they handled it so seamlessly that none of the guests noticed.
