Let me preface this by saying Hungry Howie's is my guilty pleasure pizza. I worked there in Miami when I was in high school in the 1980s. I introduce my wife to Hungry Howie's when we lived in Cary and she became a fan. Hungry Howie's locations have a tendency to be inconsistent, but sometimes they're really very good. The Garner location has been extremely consistent. Unfortunately, they have been on the consistently poor side. I always feel like the pizzas at this location come out a little undercooked without any crisp underneath. Maybe some of the more established locations have learned over time to fiddle with their oven settings to get some crisp on the pizzas.I hope they can figure it out so they can return to our weekly pizza lineup.

Flavored crust makes this some of the best pizza out there. Been loving this place for more than 10 years.
The service was awesome! My fiancé and I got the Macaroni & Cheese Pizza and for us it is a 10/10; If you’re looking for something good on your cheat day or just have a love for cheese this pizza is perfect for you! We also got the garlic bread which was a delicious side dish to the pizza. Keep up the amazing work !!

Ordered pizza and wings as a first time customer.Pizza was best I have had in a while. Thin crust Bee Sting that was half regular and half custom.The wings were NASTY!!!! WORST I may have ever had!!! If they were even decent I would have ranked this place 5 star.And they won't answer the phone so I can tell them about it.Parking: Park behind building is free.

Why can’t I have butter cheese crust anymore? ?This has been at least the third time I ordered and have been given grainy cardboard crust instead of soft, buttery, cheesy goodness. I know it’s dramatic, but ordering pizza is expensive and unhealthy. I can’t afford to waste my calories on something so mediocre so I gave it to the neighbors. $30 down the drain, but heart disease and obesity-related health issues are more expensive than pizza. If I’m going to eat something that unhealthy, I want it to be worth it.The delivery driver was lovely, but this is seriously the third time at least that I didn’t get what I ordered. I should’ve learned by now that I’ll never taste that wonderful crust again. I’ll order from domino’s tomorrow. Their crust at least has some flavor.

Placed an order for pickup, the app said 20 minutes. Arrived at the store 25 minutes later and the employee said it would be another 20 minutes. Was saying the same thing to other customers as well. Staff seamed very disorganized.

I love Hungry Howie's and the crust options. My go-to order is the butter crust and the garlic and herb crust topping and every dang time it hits the spot. I don't usually like leftover pizza, but the crust at Howie's is so good that sometimes I'll get two (use the mix and match deal) just to have some later. I'm sad the location closest to me has been closed for a few months and I can't get it delivered, but driving a few minutes in the other direction is definitely worth it. The staff are always very helpful and friendly, too!
