An absolute staple of the City of Raleigh. Liquid State is a home to NC State students, faculty, and staff; young professionals; creatives; families; and locals. With an array of coffee, tea, and wine, Liquid State has anything you need—for writing an essay, relaxing with a friend, meeting a colleague, or celebrating the end of a long week. There are many coffee shops in Raleigh, but Liquid State is distinctive, unique. The place has a loyal following, and it’ll be missed; I hope it returns with a new strength in a post-corona world.

I loved this place. Great little place for a quick bite, some good coffee or a pint of beer. Very reasonably priced and it had a nice vibe going for it. The staff is extremely courteous and walks you through their menu when asked. Awesome place to hang with friends, get some work done or just to grab a coffee and think.

The coffee is strong, the baked goods are fresh, and the staff is wonderful. Love this shop for a nice coffee when Ive got a couple extra bucks to spend on quality

Visiting from out of town and stopped in for some breakfast. The English Muffin with Bree was fantastic and the coffee was solid. They don't have a ton of cream options out, just half and half. Atmosphere is relaxed and music was the perfect volume: loud enough to be enjoyable but not enough to drown out a conversation. They also have cool local artwork hung around the shop which is available for purchase as well.

The coffee is just okay when compared to other places near by, but the food options are tasty and there are lots of vegan and allergen friendly choices. JPs pastries and Michael's Muffins included! I also really like their tea selection. Service is efficient but surprisingly not always very friendly. Limited street parking is available. I've never had trouble getting a table and the atmosphere is nice, bright and airy.

I love this little shop. Their drip is delicious and their chocolate walnut cookie is dreamy. Check them out.

It's super good! I got an iced chia tea latte. It wasn't too sweet. Definitely less sweet compared to a Starbucks version. It was super busy when we walked in. A bunch of people sitting on there laptops. My friend ordered a banana marshmallow latte. She said it was excellent and she would order it again. They also serve beer and wine here. Which is kinda surprising for a coffee shop

Perfect spot for this rainy day. Neat atmosphere and music, teas served in French presses. This would also be a neat place to come back later in the eve for wine or beer flights.

This morning 5 of us went for coffee and was treated very poorly by the young man working. He was very angry we were there when the shop opened. He was a few mins late opening up then was not pleased we bothered him with our order. I purchase at least 2 coffees a day and will walk a block farther to get better service and to my delight, better coffee.
Pretty standard coffee with some great gluten free and dairy free pastries from JPs.

Cute little spot for spending time with someone. Good taste of music with excellent beer, coffee, and wine selections. Has board games and a printer. Would highly recommend!

This place deserves more stars than yelp has to offer. I've been going for years and am consistently served high-quality coffee from fantastic people. Love you guys.
