Tonight my friend and I dined at Oro in Raleigh and I must say, the experience was nothing short of amazing! We decided to try a variety of dishes and each one impressed us with its unique flavors and impeccable presentation. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our dining experience with their excellent service with Cory an the other team members. Oro’s commitment to quality and creativity shines through their menu, chef Kevin came out to see us and others and was personable, humble and a true professional and master of his craft. I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in Raleigh!
We had Cory (? Spelling). He was such a fun vibe and had a wonderful and authentic personality! We had blue crab tempura, Brussel sprouts, Mac n cheese, jerk chicken, and the smores. It was all yummy! I think my favorite was the jerk chicken and my daughter enjoyed the tempura the most. Well, 2nd place to the smores plate.Parking: We went on a weeknight around 5pm and easily found parking. I can imagine weekends are more challenging though.
Had a reservation for Friday 3/29 @ 8:30 with me & my husband. We got there a little early, however we were promptly seated. The atmosphere & ambience was nice, so was the location. Ordered the pork belly Rockefeller, jerk chicken, & truffle Mac & cheese. The jerk chicken was incredibly spicy. Their take on the oyster Rockefeller ( incorporations pork belly ) & truffle Mac & cheese was not good. It seemed like the just used an incredible amount of bread crumbs to over compensate for the lackluster flavor profile. The drink was okay. Seemed rather sweet & heavy in syrup. Our server Drew was ok, but didn’t seem to attentive as we waited roughly 15 minutes to even place our order since he was moving by our table so swiftly to satisfy other tables, which I can make somewhat of a concession considering it was a Friday evening, but the place was not heavily packed.The food was not eaten due to my dissatisfaction, the proper solution would have been to comp my meal, but instead, I payed over $100 for food that I didn’t even enjoy. I honestly felt as though my distaste for the food was ignored. Good location & ambience, but will NOT be coming back as this ruined my date night experienced. I went to Chilli's a little while after & honestly received better service & food to be honest.

This is my 1st visit & I’m not impressed. Ordered the fingerling potatoes ( which was the best item I ordered) the jerk chicken was dry, the Mac & cheese needs work & the service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not busy but it took forever to get our food & another 30 mins to get our drinks. The bartender “Corey” was extremely rude when I asked to order a drink off the menu & Daniel…..Daniel needed a break. Overall, I will not be coming back. The experience just wasn’t worth the money.

There were 4 of us celebrating a birthday and the restaurant was busy but not overcrowded; it still felt intimate. Nice concept of food being served in rounds, family style/shareable. All of our selections were vegetarian/pescatarian friendly and although my companions eat meat, we all agreed that the 6 or 7 dishes we shared, were great. My impromptu mocktail made by the bartender was good- however, my companions didn't care for their cocktails. Those were dim in comparison to the excellent food, etc.Vegetarian options: Brussel Sprouts, Cauliflower, Mac & Cheese all constitute as vegetarian and were all delicious!!
Went in to have a glass of cab. When it came it was so cold condensation had formed. The manager came over and tried to gaslight me and my wife that it was served at the proper temp. This guy was so rude I should have got up and left. Instead we made the most of it. We will never go back. The restaurant isn’t that great and to be treated the way we did was unacceptable.
