The food and drinks are really good, especially love to get the Shrimp Po Boys. It is hard to find a good one this side of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and this one is good. Also offering Buffalo version of the Po Boy. Have had some issues with service at times. You have to wait for attention and drinks frequently ran out while waiting. But the food is good and the atmosphere is good pub/sports bar with more than 2 TVs.

I stopped in for lunch last weekend and when I walked in the place was empty, I stood at the door waiting to be acknowledged while two girls chatting ignored me. Eventually, I said, do I sit anywhere, and once said yes. A couple minutes go by they continue to ignore me. I get up and retrieve my own menu that was sitting at another table. I quickly figured out what I wanted, I put the menu down and looked at them. They still ignored me. Two people walk in I guess they’ve been there before they knew to just sit down. They immediately stop chatting to go help them while I am still sitting there, waiting to get acknowledged in an empty restaurant. After they helped them, they still ignored me! I walked out. Now I’ve been places where service isn’t always the greatest, but I have never been ignored and basically refused service like that. Let’s just say that was my first and last time!

Food is good and we really enjoy the overall quietness of just a handful of people in the restaurant.

Friendly, relaxed, good food, moderate prices. Feels like a neighborhood pub. Totally not hip which is what I like about it

Good burgers. But who closes at 9:45 during an NCAA football championship game? Pickled Onion or Pipers will stay open past your kid's bedtime at least.

If you like a salad as a meal, the chefs salad is fantastic. This is my favorite spot to get a salad in Raleigh.

Personally the food here is good, but the bartender is not the most pleasant and they charge for refills on sodas since they switched to cans.

Great little pub. Excellent fish and chips, decent beer choices. A bit pricey for pub food. Excellent home made chips. Would have liked to have a few dip options.

Never had a bad meal here. The French dip and the cheeseburger were both delicious as were the hand cut fries. The calamari appetizer was as good as any that I have ever had. Service was friendly and efficient. Lots of football on the TV’s and a North Carolina favorite, Foothills beer, was on tap. I love this little local sports bar.

Not very good. Fries really dark brown and soggy. Veg Sammy on untoasted bread, the grilled veg was just a few spoonfuls of maybe a burger garnish. I had 5x the bread to veg ratio. I got beer 15 min before friends arrived, server didn’t ask if I wanted a 2nd nor brought any water. I won’t be back.
