Due to the limited hours which I applaud them for their work/family balance, it taken us some time to get here for a meal. Now I wish we have it a higher priority. Hands down the best bbq we've had since relocating to wake forest. The pulled pork and brisket were perfectly prepared with a nice blend of rub seasoning and hearty smokiness. The beans, mac&cheese, and okra sides were all excellent. The beans have a perfect balance of sweet and spice that I can't put NY finger on but gives me a sense of honey used for some of the sweet component. The Mac and cheese has a nice cheesiness, baked in crispiness on top and I'm guessing just a smidge of nutmeg. One day I'll have to ask if they are willing to share a bit of info. Even their iced tea is especially well blended and balanced. We will most definitely be more regular customers even if they are closed on our normal find out/take out day, Sunday

When I arrived, I was greeted by the owner, and she was very nice. While she went to get my order, I was greeted by the other owner, to make sure I was being helped. They were very friendly and personable. My food was ready when I came in for my pick-up time. The restaurant looked very clean as well. After my short drive home, the food was hot and it smelt amazing. I got an order of brisket, pork belly burnt ends, and some mac and cheese. The food tasted VERY good. The brisket was juicy and had a beautiful pink smoke ring. The rub on the brisket was noticeable and added great flavor. The pork belly was tender and easy to eat. The Smitty sauce was an excellent compliment to the meat and the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was so cheesy and there was a beautiful cheese pull on every bite. I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu. I definitely need another order of that mac and cheese! Thank you!

Update..Finally got our chance to come back & try! Sooooo worth the wait! The food is truly top notch quality. Cooked to perfection, clean, not overpowered by sauce- simply mouth watering good. Highly recommend the banana pudding shake too. We'll be back!Be aware, closed Dec. 29th through Jan 4th!! Had heard from family this is hands down amazing BBQ, can't wait to come back & try our next visit back to NC!
Hands down the best BBQ I've ever had. The quality of the food and the freshness of the food is hands down the most exceptional I've experienced. If you have not eaten here you are losing at life......Oh and I forgot to mention the staff they are absolutely amazing.

This place is phenomenal. My boss and I got the Smitty Bmac sandwhich and all I can say is it’s fabulous. The owner is down to earth and very friendly. He explained everything that was on the menu. Amazing food and amazing customer service! I am always greeted with a "welcome back" and a smile. The pistachio smoothie was delicious!
Food was great, but for a casual BBQ joint where you order at the counter, it's simply WAY WAY too expensive. Went there for lunch and unfortunately the lower, reasonably priced $12 sandwiches were already "sold out" (at 11:30am, really)? So I paid $22 (total) for a bbq sandwich and water, no sides (this included the now socially "mandatory-ipad-turned-around" tip from the cashier). Now as I said, the sandwich was very tasty, and the staff was certainly friendly, but $22 for the sandwich and water for lunch??? Am I in New York City? Or maybe at a concert or sporting event? Nope, I'm in a casual bbq joint in a little strip mall, next to a gas station in Wake Forest. Yes, they didn't force me to order and eat it, but I would have walked out immediately if I hadn't agreed to meet someone there for lunch. And apparently many agree with me, because the place was surprisingly empty throughout an otherwise peak lunch time.

We were greeted warmly as soon as we opened the door. It was our first time and our experience was wonderful from start to finish. The menu was explained to us including popular items. We both tried the brisket Mac and cheese, potato salad, green beans, island berry tea lemonade and the sweet potato (only thing not pictured). The brisket was SO tender. Cheese pull on the Mac: ELITE. The tea was so good we took 2 more to-go. While we were dining in, one of the owners came around to provide samples of a new cheesecake they were testing out. I can’t even tell you what it was because I just inhaled it immediately. Portions are generous. Although we dined in, we had plenty to take home. The sauce is really good as well. When we arrived, there were people leaving out with just bottles of purchased sauce. We’ll be getting our own bottle next time! Unfortunately we had no room for smoothies but that’s not a bad thing. Just more return trips.Parking: Shared parking lot with other businesses. Best to get there early

We are exploring some new places to eat locally after a move and thought this looked interesting, very cosy and friendly inside with great staff and a chef that made prepping BBQ look like she could do it blindfolded.We had the pork burnt ends and beef brisket with beans and Mac n cheese for sides.First things first the burnt ends are exactly as advertised, meat candy , highly addictive and beautifully cooked with sweet BBQ flavor all the way through.The brisket was melt in your mouth cooked to perfection and even without any sauce was packed with flavor.Not everything is perfect though but I think this is more personal taste than quality.The beans are sweet enough to be a desert , again lots of flavor but I couldn't finish them.The Mac n cheese is different , it's very solid and crispy on the edges , I'm sure that's a style some love but I like my gloopy cheesy sauce.It also came with a corn bread blueberry muffin , it was very tasty but with so much sugar already in what we had it was just to much.So overall we will be going back as wow the meat is amazing, but for us the sides not so much.If you don't have diabetes you will after this but you won't care in the slightest, if you do have diabetes just know that your final meat will be dam tasty.Very recommended

Today, went in and had the best experience I’ve had since I’ve started coming to Smiths BBQ! I had the smoke wings (garlic parm), burnt ends, Mac n cheese and baked beans. The food was absolutely phenomenal!!!!! Rashad greeted us with a smile as normal and he and his team put their foot in this! Thank you for an amazing experience!!!
