Very few old school Steak Houses in Raleigh. We went for our wedding anniversary and they treated us like royalty. Chef makes fresh desserts daily.

Vinnies is one of my very favorite restaurants in Raleigh. Jules and Shannon, along with chef Tom, make it a very special, welcoming place. Highly recommend!

Took 25 minutes just to get a drink, then got salads (warm) an hour in. Steak which cost $85 was cold. Server failed to tell us about the specials. Sub par service ands then had to tip 20% bc we were a party of six.

Best Mahi Mahi I have had anywhere! I know it's a steak house and the steaks are excellent, pricey, but excellent. Hubby had the filet and it was excellent, as was the hash browns and duck fat mushrooms. The shinning star, to me, was the grilled Mahi Mahi on the potato hash and asparagus. Superb! Excellent service from Valitina! Always timely without being intrusive. Always a please experience and don't forget 1/2 price wine on Tuesdays and Thursdays!!

Had dinner at Vinnie's Steakhouse in Raleigh, and it's clear this place tops the local steakhouse scene. Don't expect lavish surroundings; instead, Vinnie's charms with its neighborhood vibe, matched by service and food that outshine the fanciest spots around. The service transported us back to a time where every diner feels like the guest of honor. Our meal kicked off with amazing appetizers, an incredible wedge salad, followed by generous drinks, a standout ahi tuna, and a strip steak that was in a league of its own. Vinnie's is the kind of place that should be bustling every evening, offering top-notch food and service that's hard to come by these days. If you're after the best steak and service in Raleigh, Vinnie's might just be the place to be. Definitely try it out!

What can I say? Vinnies has lost its luster. I have been a devoted customer since it opened in the 1980s. Back when Rose was owner. Just in the last few years I have noticed the decline in class. No more Sinatra, Martin on the background music. People wearing shorts in the dining room for dinner. Where's the elegance and class that there use to be? My husband's birthday was last night. We always go to Vinnies on my birthday and his. Mine was in February. A month ago my husband and my son both ordered the Delmonico Ribeye. One got a NY strip and one got the King Ribeye. We were charged for 2 King ribeyes!! We brought it to servers attention, but it was not corrected. Last night the first thing I noticed was the app of ahi tuna we ordered. From just a month ago and last night, the ahi tuna has reduced by HALF. My husband's meal and dessert came out more than 5 mins after the rest of the table. We had 2 of our adult kids with us. The food was great as always. But getting very expensive. Especially for ala carte. I asked for Tavern menu and it was an act of congress to get. After being told that it's not allowed in main dining by the manager. I have ordered many times from the Tavern menu and never been told this. This is over a span of 35 + years. I'm handicapped and can't sit on the high pub chairs for dinner. Anyway...the manager said because they were slow, she would allow me to order from that menu. Shocked and embarrassed I didn't say anything at the time. It was a special occasion and instead of complaining to one person there i want others to know of my experience. I want whomever sees this at Vinnies to read it and re read it and consider making changes. The female manager is not friendly and rolled her eyes as she walked by our table. I'm dissapointed by what I have seen the last few times we have been. We celebrate anniversaries, graduations, and various special occasions at vinnies. My father who is now gone went to Vinnies when it opened too. He was a well known man there. I'm sure the chef remembers him. The chef does a great job.Omar was a great waiter. Between our last 2 visits we spent for 4 people around $900 on our dinners. I'll add the photos from a month ago and last night here to show how the portion was cut in half and we were charged the same. Lastly, they want your credit card when you make a reservation online. Weird. I'm going to think long and hard before we plan another visit. I expect more.

Three is being generous because the food was so bad, but the service and the manager handled things very well. The price is very high and the food quality very low.

The food has amazing flavor and the steaks are so tender. I ate there on 02/17, and my wait staff also were servicing a party of 30. However, my $95 steak was room temperature at best when it was served to me. It was the same way for the rest of my party as well. I ordered a baked potato that only came after I had literally finished eating my steak. The servers were nice and very informative on the menu, but due to the large party they were also servicing, our service was slow. Vinnie's is not your average steakhouse so I expected to be there for quite a while. However, due to the slowness of the service, my party of 4 were there for two and a half hours. I have been to Vinnie's before and as previously stated, the taste of the food is just phenomenal. However, when I pay $95 for a steak, I expect it to be hot and to have all of my food brought out at the same time. I did bring all this to the manager's attention, and she say she would comp us all a free dessert and the baked potato was taken off of the bill. When the bill came, we had to remind our server to remove the dessert and the potato. These are just the small things that are irritating and will have us trying another restaurant next time. I will still come back to Vinnie's but as a Anniversary dinner, this was not the best experience.

Vinnie's never disappoints! The service is impeccable and the food is consistent, creative, and delicious. Tracey is always the best and we love seeing Chef Tom as he makes his rounds. Vinnie's gets a 5 star every time.

Ambience small dark romantic setting with a small bar area . There was a lot of older people there and you know they know where the good food is at . We were not dissatisfied everything from service to food was great . The butternut squash soup was perfect balance of sweetness my baby devoured it . The crab dip with chips is a must and the steak and lobster was cooked perfect. Potatoes au gratin were good big serving for all of us . Not on the menu clam chowder and Valentine's Day dessert the brownie was a little hard and cold would have loved a warm brownie with the I believe it was mocha ice cream topped with marshmallow fluff and raspberry side . We will be saving this spot but maybe next time we will leave the little one at home to enjoy a cocktail or two after .

I was very impressed with the overall experience. Everyone including the chef came out to greet us and inquired about us and how we were doing. The food was phenomenal as well as the drinks. If you desire high quality treatment and great food Vinnie's is the place to go!

My spouse and I had a lovely late dinner. Our server Jason was attentive and made our dining experience that much better. He served us with the same enthusiasm I would imagine he'd bring to the first customer of the evening, and I greatly appreciate his service. Our meal was delicious, and the portions were plentifully generous. I look forward to returning.

This is my father's favorite restaurant. Every time I visit we make a point to stop by. The vibe is old-school supper club steakhouse. It has an excellent wine menu, which is a big part of the appeal for my father in particular. Tuesdays and Thursdays are half-price bottles. Plus you can also bring a bottle from home if you would like something specific that they do not have. I've been here many times, although I do not typically eat red meat, there are many options on the menu for me. Big recommendations for me personally are the calamari, ahi tuna, and salmon. Although, if I could only eat one thing off this menu, it would most certainly be the duck fat mushrooms. These are hands-down, one of the best things I've ever eaten. I also thoroughly enjoyed the au gratin potatoes. The service here is insanely good. They knew our names and used them throughout our service. It feels like the perfect hometown restaurant, with a high-end experience attached.
