Me and my Wife go here to eat every now and then since it’s a place near our house. We were surprised to see that it had taken new ownership. From the time we walked in we noticed a change it the vibe of the place. It was very clean and inviting. We were greeted as we walked in and were able to order right away at the counter. The food came out quick and the portions were huge for one plate. All in all it was a great experience and great food. Definitely will be back again.

This place should not qualify to advertise the name, and definitely doesn’t deserve the 1 STAR, my instinct when I walked in was to turn around and walk back out, So because I stayed to give it a chance it was a bad idea I basically had a plate of onions with a side of rice, my family’s plates were bad as well but we tried to make the best of it and not send it back. It was a small restaurant so I know they heard our conversation of the meal, instead of coming over to check on us because they should have been concerned of their service they kept right on staying back in the kitchen area so when I paid for the worst meal I’ve ever taken my family to and the waitress acted if she had did us some sort of favor, I prayed for the people in that kitchen that God will give them the boldness to do better or close down. I feel that it would’ve been a little better if the cook had come over and showed some sort of concern for what was given to us as a meal and how he could have done better. That’s What a Responsible Restaurant would have done. Do Better!!Vegetarian options: I ordered the vegetables plate and got a plate of over cooked onions with rice.Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter (4yrs) asked for noodles but 1 taste and she asked for rice, it looked like ramen noodles with soy sauce

The food is good most of the time but service is rarely good, It takes a long time to get your food. I needed a minute before ordering and they finally came back about 10 minutes later. They were not busy this day and I have been the only one in the and it has take 20 minutes to get our orders. Talking to the manager has done nothing she can be in there with people standing around and not working and she will do nothing. I love sushi so that is the only reason why I am still going there and the sushi is not even all that great. Would not recommend going there if you have to go somewhere else after or if you have another Japanese place you can go to.

Hair in my food !!!!!I read all the bad reviews, noticed not one car in the lot, when restaurant lots on the same street were full. All red flags saying don’t eat here. Tried it anyway! Food was good, and I made it halfway through my order when I found a hair in my food. Done !!! Had to go home and cook

Just ate at this place it was my first and my last.Food was not good had more rice then anything 5 pounds of rice and half pound Meats salad was lettuce and ranch dressing that's all

The food was good but didn't compensate for the terrible service. I was told to pick my take out order up in 25- when I arrived they hadn't even started cooking the order. It took an HOUR to receive my food. They seemed overwhelmed, disorganized and uncaring. Don't waste your time here as it's just not worth it.

If you folks are eating here, then u should take a closer look at the dirt in the kitchen and the dirty windows, the cook’s handling of food, then grabbing utensils, then back to condiments, etc.. ordered a salad, but had nothing on it except lettuce, that’s cheap, lumps in the rice, no refills on the tea until the meal was over. The only thing good was the filet mignon, everything else was nothing special.

My family and I have been eating at Taste of Japan since we moved to Reidsville about 2.5 years ago, and we have eaten there A LOT. Only once have I had a less than stellar experience, and even then, it wasn't an issue with the food. The cashier that time wasn't very pleasant, but she could have been having an off day, as we all do, and frankly, I haven't seen her since, so it doesn't matter.Otherwise, our experience at Taste of Japan, either dine-in or carry out has always been great! Food is EXCELLENT, and portions are generous for the price. Orders are always fresh and tasty, and served up quickly. Staff is very kind; helpful and polite. Especially the manager! Shes the best!!Just one family's opinion, but we lovveee some Taste of Japan, and plan to continue eating there for years to come!! Great job team!!

Horrible cold, over priced food. Terrible service. The cashier actually asked for tip on our to go order. We called and the girl told us the cold food and missing sauce wasn’t her problem. We definitely will never go back.
If you don't know what authentic Japanese food is like, it might be okay. I have NEVER had miso soup like that, the fried rice is just soy sauced rice, the rolls are barely held together, and for such low quality it was way overpriced. I'm not sorry I tried it, but I won't be back.Vegetarian options: They have veggie rolls and veggie hibachi, though not really true hibachi grill.

The lady told me to hold on the phone forgot about me for 7 mins. I hung up to call again. She finally decided to take my to go order. I told her no soup and no salad she said okay and was going to give me extra veggies. I get there to pick it up. I had to call again to get them to come outside as if they can't look out the window. The lady hands me soup that I didn't ask for that. I told her I didn't want it. They had the worse customer service. For $14 was a small to go plate of chicken and shrimp. And no extra veggies. Will never get them again. Portions terrible, customer service terrible, the food is typical. Definitely not the real thing.

I've been coming here for a long time and my wife and I still prefer it over many options in Reidsville but, it has declined over the years. The food has less flavor and the staff are lazy nowadays. I reserved the party room and while it was nice enough, we had to repeatedly track down our waitress to get drunk refills and request orders, she was usually found near the counter looking at her phone.

It takes you forever to receive your food. The food is good usually. The steak taste fake and it’s too hard. The service is horrible and it takes you about 30 minutes to receive your drinks Or even to get a menu. My soup had a ton of pepper in it. The manager is not nice where workers and is extremely rude. Workers get paid four dollars an hour after working their butts off. The menu just consist of the same thing over and over again. Don’t recommend. Like I said I love the food but that place is just horrible. It takes 30 minutes to 45 minutes just to receive soup which is already premade in the pot. Seriously I don’t recommend, AT ALL.
