My husband and I stopped here otw home from OBX, and the food was great! Loaded queso fries with ranch were super yummy! And I got the BYOB with a salad- also very good! Our server was so nice and friendly (as was everyone else); we never needed anything because he was so attentive. I definitely recommend this place!

We found this place by accident while traveling. We're glad we did. The burgers were delicious. The fries were nice and fresh. We tried the fried banana peppers. Nice concept and they were very appetizing. I had only one gripe. The chili that we got on one of the burgers was sweet. It tasted just like a sloppy Joe. This isn't how you do chili in the South. Still, the burger was so good it made little difference. I don't think you'll be disappointed in this place. It cost a little more but it's a good quality and delicious.

My mom and I stopped here while passing through and it was well worth the extra few minutes! Probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and the sweet potato fries were incredible. Staff was very friendly, too!!

We ordered 2 different burgers with different sides.I've been here twice, and both have been great experiences!Edited to add: I took my friend here after we have very bad experience at a different restaurant. We had a list of several local restaurants who were supporting a school system program by giving a certain percentage of their sales to the program.The first restaurant, no one seemed to know what was going on, and we would treat it rudely.At this place, as soon as we came in, the greater knew exactly what we were talking about, the waitress knew about the fundraiser, and showed us the little plaques they had on the table telling about the fundraiser.It wasn't hidden, it wasn't a secret.And my friend who has never been there before, thoroughly enjoyed the food, the milkshake and atmosphere!Thank you for turning a bitter lemon into the sweetest lemonade!

Visited the Zebulon Road location today with my children. We ate until we couldn't. But the star of show was the exceptional service we received from Matthew N. It's been awhile since my last visit and I will start working Barley and Burger back into the rotation.

Great place to eat. Staff was friendly and seemed to get along great with each other. I stay in Rocky Mount about once a month and this was my first visit here , but will not be my last. This is my new go to place !!! Got the Big Kahuna burger and tater tots, which was awesome , and the peanut butter milk stout was phenomenal!!! If your around, don’t hesitate to hit this place up !!!
This place is legit!!! On a business trip and found this gem… the food was great but the people are even better and that’s saying something. I’ll definitely be back… one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever had.
Would have left 5 stars but they put onions in the pimento cheese.Shout out to the lady on the phone though! I called to ask if they had onions in the pimento cheese (I thought most places don't) she answered the phone and I could tell by her voice that she thought I was crazy for asking. She said "no" we don't put onions in our pimento cheese, then after a pause said "let me go ask someone just to make sure". The utter shock in her voice when she came back and had to tell me there were onions in it was hilarious. I'm glad she thinks onions in pimento cheese is crazy and I'm not the only one. I appreciate her taking the time to find out for me, A+ customer service. Sadly I never got to try the food because I really wanted cheese fries (without onions ?) but will try next time I'm in the area.

Great food!!! Highly impressed. It was a busy after -church rush. Due to the high quality food, it was reasonably busy - but only a 10 min wait. The atmosphere is quaint.
