We drove a half-hour to get there. Seated promptly. Then the two of us waited 25 minutes and no one even stopped by the table to say hello, although all the people around us were getting plenty of attention. So, we left, informing the hostess we were leaving.

This is our dinner stop enroute to Hilton Head. South of here is a food desert until Florence - so it has become our go to. The meals are always delicious and sized right. I love the BBQ plate and SO always gets the fish special. The best feature is the staff, always efficient and friendly without the hovering that sometimes gets awkward. Located in a small strip mall, the scene is modern/clean. Not romantic but good enough for a date.

4.5 So pleasantly surprised with this place. We stopped off I-95 on our way from Georgia to MD expecting a small town with limited options. Food is excellent, creative AND they had 2 vegan entrees. So healthy, creative and delicious. I had vegan grilled cauliflower steak with sweet potato puree and gremolata, husband had shrimp risotto. Both delicious.Dietary restrictions: Several vegan options

Please avoid this place. The food is not prepared well and nearly everyone in our party of 20 had burnt and dry food. Let’s start with the Cheddar Chive biscuits as an appetizer; served cold and hard with a funny tasting butter. Those had to be sent back. I got the fried pickles instead: salty and flimsy. My fish sandwich had burnt bread and was very dry. The chicken and waffles were a total abomination; 100% do not recommend. The Mac and cheese is more like a soup than anything; flavorful but too gooey. Overall 3/10. Will not be returning.

Let me start by saying that the service here is wonderful. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The food was ok. The reviews led us to believe we were in for a treat. My husband and I got the burger topped with brisket. I thought the brisket was good--the coleslaw a nice touch. The burger was a bit bland and my husband's was overcooked. That was disappointing--no one likes a dry burger. However, the fries and the dipping sauce were delectable! I rarely enjoy sweet potato fries because they are usually soggy--these were crispy and perfect. Our daughter got the pulled pork mac and cheese and it was delicious! I had contemplated getting it and after a sample of hers, wished I had! Finally--they had a nice selection of local beers and I loved my tequila smash.

Talk about amazing food.....wow! I am so glad we decided to go here for dinner last night while we were in Rocky Mount. I was surprised that my party of two were greeted and seated so quickly on a Saturday evening. Our server started out on point but slipped up a bit when the time came to bring us our bills. We ordered pork skins with cheese dip and they were pure perfection-they were still crackling when dropped at our table!!!! Who would have thought to dip pork rinds into some velveta cheese concoction?!? I ordered a short rib pasta dish that was also really good! I opted to get the bread pudding to go bc I was so full after those pork rinds and pasta and after 2 bites I opted to save the rest of it for breakfast. The bread pudding with the dipping sauce was equally as delicious the next day! Thank you for such an amazing meal in a comfortable atmosphere!

We've been regulars for over a year now but it's time to move on. Waiter who neglected us the entire time, diminishing portions, rising prices, and the last two times severe physical ramifications. We've brought many customers and spent much $$$. Not worth it anymore.

The food is so delicious here! Causal atmosphere. My waitress was amazing. It was my first time there, and her recommendations were on point. Next time I'm in Rocky Mount, I'll be sure to go back.

True southern hospitality on our trip from MA to SC. It was the best and made the remainder of our trip relaxing. Worth the stop!!!

Perfection! Highly recommend! We can't even agree on which dish was the best. We ordered ribs & brisket and short rib pasta. And the blueberry cobbler for dessert.

Should be called A Hard American Table. The chairs and benches are rock hard, and unless you have a very well endowed tush, you will probably be uncomfortable from the moment you sit down. I can't fathom why a restaurant owner would want his customers to feel discomfort from the get go. And the prices and menu do not compensate for the acute discomfort.
