We stopped in and tried this place out at the suggestion of a local. The BBQ was good, they did not have the salad bar at this time, which was disappointing, but they have a decent selection of vegetables. prices are good, service was good. Bathroom was clean. locals eat here. Gluten free options that aren't just salads.

When you think of barbecue in Salisbury. If you are past 50 years old you always will remember the TNF barbecue on Council Street. It actually had people lined up down the sidewalk waiting to take one of the turnstiles or very limited tables inside. Everyone knew there was something special about TNF barbecue. Although we all knew it could'nt be duplicated this is probably the closest you will get he is a direct relative of this place. Richard's definitely won't disappoint if you're looking for good pit cook BBQ in Salisbury. Unfortunately as the years go by finding good pit cook BBQ in Salisbury it's getting harder to do. They have all the traditional Salisbury things here good chopped barbecue, red barbecue slaw and hush puppies and traditional drink of choice for all of our locals good old soft drink called Cheerwine. Make sure you get a cup of dip with it makes it better. May we seek our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ daily.

Came back on 2/26/22. Very noisy and not from the patrons, but from brunette server shouting across the restaurant at her friends. Love the music, but not the same server singing along with the music louder than she should and dancing around the bar and the kitchen area. Glad there wasn't a pole.Visited 2/19/22. Great food. Prices are a good value at Richards, even with inflation going on everywhere else. Great burgers and BBQ. Just wish they were open past 3:00 pm.

Great Smoked BBQ like it should be done in North Carolina ☺️!! Not skimpy on the amount either...Pig Out!

I enjoyed my meal, I had a hamburger w/grilled onions French fries. I didn't care much for the sweet tea, but the food was very good and the older lady who took my order was the sweetest.

Food came out hot. Flounder was half fish half breading. Potato salad did not taste fresh. Okra was good. Hush puppies were excellent.

Menu said rated #1 bbq, I have had better. BBQ had no flavor, tried adding their sauce, did nothing to help it. I was disappointed that we visited on a very hot day and two young boys came in asking could they get a cup of water. It was obvious they had been out walking in the extreme heat and they were told they would be charged 0.35 for water. I was apalled and had the boys not left so fast I would have bought their water. Kindness goes a long way, I understand cups cost money but human decency sometimes is more important.

4 McDonalds size hamburgers fries (small) and 4 drinks (medium). $41.81 plus $4. Tip. Please the bill should have been $6.50 .13cent tip. His PM would have still been 400%.
