* * This is an Update to my original review. The food is extraordinary.... had the shredded beef bowl today! I didn't realize until the second visit today....how absolutely every morsel has a great surprise - unbelievable taste!Try it!When you find a pearl in an oyster you're not surprised. That's what they do! When you come across a "perfect little gem" of an eatery on a Highway - kinda in the middle of a country road - that's not just a surprise it's a treasure.WOW 601 (named for the Highway it's on) is an enigma wrapped up in a conundrum!Well, maybe it's just a diamond in the rough. Drive by too fast you'll miss it! And you would MISS some of the most delicious food in North Carolina I have had.WOW 601 is run by the friendliest couple - local small business owners from Venezuela.The food is anything like fast food....everything is cooked to order. Fresh ingredients all.The "Bowl" I had was scrumptious. A rhapsody of tastes, textures and flavors - awakening all yummy sensations.It was filled with marinaded chicken, lettuce, cheese, black beans, olives, green peppers, pico de gallo, cucumber, and topped off with a heavenly pink sauce.....delicate and just the right combination of flavorful and traditional.The menu is varied and "hit the proverbial spot.Pull into this little spot and enjoy a surprise beyond any expectation.Enjoy!

This is definitely an odd set up. It's in the middle of nowhere as well and it's drive thru only. We paid over $20 for two small arepas, flan, and fried cheese sticks. The areapas don't come with any sides and were small in size. Overall I'm not impressed. 15 min out of the way subpar food. Odd location and odd setup, I don't see them lasting. A nicer sit down location with nicer atmosphere would have been the better business decision.

Upon entering the establishment, my senses were immediately assailed by an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of decay and putrefaction. While settling into a seat, a speedy cockroach scurried past my feet, eliciting a mix of revulsion and discomfort. To my dismay, one of the staff members casually remarked that the insect was affectionately known as "Hilary," a pet of sorts. Despite my initial inclination to leave at that moment, my hunger urged me to stay and opt for the chili cheese fries, although they turned out to be rather mediocre. As I deliberated over my disappointing meal and sipped on a diluted cola, a disheveled individual who introduced himself as Mr. Kirkman entered the premises. He proceeded to engage in unsettling behavior, attempting to peddle a bootlegged Hungarian DVD of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to patrons. Following a brief period of disturbance, the manager took action and promptly ejected him from the premises. Needless to say, the entire experience left me with a firm resolve never to return

The food has a Heavenly taste and smell, it's hard not to dig in immediately after they give it to you! Customer service is great, the lady at the register is just the sweetest person ever! I have no complaints at all about this place, I would definitely recommend getting food here!
The owners are super friendly and there are a lot of options on the menu. Maybe one day there will be more vegetarian options?

Love the food at this place and the folks running it are very friendly. Highly recommend the bowls or wraps, much better that Chipotle and the Salchipapas are so tasty and authentic.
I try something new every time I go there and its name says it all. WOW!! This small picnic style restaurant makes their food with pride and love. It makes long drives between Davie and Rowan something to slow down and enjoy.

This place is truly WOW! The service is great, the food is amazing and you get a good amount for what you pay. I think I have probably eaten here 3 times in the past week. The owners are kind and friendly. The chicken bowl is my favorite, and I get about 2 meals out of it. The tequenos are great, and the Salchipapas are awesome. I am so glad they opened this place and hope they stick around for a long time.
