First time here on a recommendation. We went for a taco and beer pairing in conjunction with a local Mexican Restaurant (Tacos El Primo). The food was great. The event was hosted by Tim (one of the owners) and he was welcoming and knowledgeable. The pairings were great. We will be regulars. The beers were outstanding. The science behind the delicate and delicious beers was not lost on us. Awesome.

This place is so good I’m kinda of sad to give it a good review because people will come here. Especially with how much growth is happening in Sanford. But they also deserve to have all the success in the. World because they put their heart into this place. It’s such a gem tho. The staff is amazing. The beer is pretty good. The food trucks are cool. I’ll be honest some can be a bit of a hit or miss but that’s not Huggers fault. You are more than welcome to bring your own food. I always like to hit up my favorite food place and then sit at the bar. Drink my beer, eat my food, and chitchat. Or if you just want to vibe in the corner and watch a movie you can too.You may bring your kids. In my opinion not reflected by this establishment at all, please don’t let them just run around to where they are going out by the main entrance. Or don’t let them run behind the bar. Other than that they have plenty of board games and ride on toys for the kids. They can also toss around some cornhole.There are different events all the time. Beer yoga, Latin night (gets littttt in there), line dancing, paint n sips, trivia, and the list goes on. Find them on social media to stay up to date on the food trucks, beer, and events.I collect growlers. So far havnt found one they won’t fill. To be fair the biggest one I have is 64oz. They will tell you if something doesn’t keep will in a growler. Like I wanted to get a nitro brew once and they said it doesn’t keep well so they wouldn’t be able to sell it. Which I respect. They don’t want their name attached to bad beer.My mother is originally from Germany. I am as well. So being able to have a public space that’s chill, respectable, good food, and good beer is important. This place hits the mark. Got the German mom stamp of approval.

I write this as I sit at another brewery in Florida. Hugger Mugger has ruined me in the best possible way. My husband used to bartend here when we lived in Sanford, and no other brewery I’ve been to can compare to this one. Hands down the best beer I’ve ever had. I miss it terribly. Sometimes I think about coming back to town just for some Hastur. Unfortunately, I am not joking.

Was an impromptu stop on a Sunday afternoon. Large space with a wide variety of tasty beers. Staff is friendly and helpful as well as the locals. Had a great relaxing afternoon-went home with a growler and hope to visit again soon!

Always great and friendly employees. Great atmosphere, good tasting beer. They have an outdoor, picnic table area that I always love to be at which is also where varies foodtrucks are parked at. They atleast have one each night. It's a lighted area and at night it is very beautiful.
