On 6JAN22 approx 5:30pm (Thursday), tried to call in a pick up order, phone line said it was busy, drove by to place an order in person and the placed looked permanently closed. Ended up placing a sushi order at Tokyo Express (919) 777-0469 at 2902 S Horner Blvd, Sanford, NC 27332 and was very pleased with their sushi.

We were excited to have a "real" sushi place with such variety and nice seating/dining experience, we have been there about 3 times and each time something has always made it worse than it should be. The food is GREAT, but the service sucks, and sometimes they are closed randomly for no reason. You will wait a long time and you will repeat your order several times. I am not really even sure there is an adult working there, everyone seems to be under the legal drinking age. No voicemail that explains why they are closed or even gives you their hours of operation. I really had hoped for better because we were excited.

Looking for a pho restaurant for a friend and this place popped up. So glad it did. Everyone loved their food and they were extremely accommodating for our special orders. We will be back often.

Tried to order carry out. They didn't answer their phone (7 tries). Walked in to order and was ignored. Menu had most prices increased. Sanitation grade: 90 Their nearest competitor now has a new customer.

They have re done the place and the food is good but you are lucky to catch this place open… their hours are not posted and they close randomly and sometimes not open at all. I love Luli’s but the past 7 times I have been in Sanford (afternoon and evenings) they have been closed or open really late. I figure they will be closing soon ??‍♂️

This restaurant had some issues a year ago or so, but they are doing fantastic now. High sanitation rating, great service and the best sushi around (unless you feel like driving to Raleigh).EDIT: I have attempted to eat here several times during the past few months. It looks like they are closed for good? Their hours on google are definitely not correct...

Didn't taste fresh. Can't add or request a side of spicy mayo if it doesn't come on your roll, even if you offer to pay for it. Always out of avocado. Wouldn't let me add cucumber to a plain tuna roll. Waitress seemed lost.

If Sanford can only have one sushi place, then thank God it’s the place! I swear their sushi has gotten better over the years. And the staff is exceptional! I love the vibes and sushi here.

Slow service , not organized, did not put our food in, no follow up about a item not available. Had to keep asking for things and they still forgot. Took my lettuce wrap home ( just nasty). I could keep going. The waitress seem very out of it. Sent wings back ( salt, salty) I’m done

I've had better sushi from a store. The ingredients did not taste even remotely fresh. I almost choked on the seaweed because of how disgustingly chewy it was and the tuna tasted like it had been sitting on the counter for 2 days. Will never return here. Anybody who says this place has good sushi has never had good sushi.

Sushi was delicious. My husband took a fried rice plate home and he really enjoyed it. We will return.

They've cut back on their portions big time. Spent nearly $70 on sushi rolls here and felt like I had eaten a small snack. The sushi was decent, just seems like you're not getting what you pay for these days.
