If you're looking for Chinese, this is the place to get it. I've been going since I moved here, I go like 4 times a week, and I always get the same thing. Honey sesame chicken is a must it is the BEST you will ever have. And it's consistently good. I also get white rice and lo mein for sides. This is a Shelby must eat, and prices are good to, as well as portions. My boyfriend and I split the chicken and we're always both full at the end. YOU MUST TRY!!

I have been ordering take out from Chen’s for over 30 years. I ordered Mandarin beef and my husband ordered the house Spicy triple flavor. It is the worst meal we have ever gotten there. The beef in both orders was not beef. I don’t know what kind of meat it was but was awful and it looked old. $30.00 wasted

I have eaten here every single week for the past 3 years (started coming during COVID) and I seriously cannot eat at any other Chinese restaurant without thinking about how much the food pales in comparison to Chen’s.They have always treated me with compassion and respect and I love coming in every week to see the amazing employees who run the show.I have quite often said that no food in this world brings me more joy than eating at this restaurant as it is my favorite place and I CANNOT recommend it enough.I legitimately LOVE Chen’s!Wheelchair accessibility: Staff makes reasonable accommodations for guests who are handicapped. Elderly are welcome and appreciated.

Ordered from here off door dash. Their food is horrible. Ordered Singapore mei fun, had the taste of card board. My gf ordered orange chicken and asked for extra spicy, tasted like it had barbecue sauce on it. Theyre over priced and the flavor profiles are trash. Joy Wok in Blacksburg is better and cheaper
What happened? As a Shelby resident I have eaten here for over 30 years. The quality of food is awful now. So disappointed. Bone dry fried rice, lo-menu with no flavor, and sweet and sour chicken dried to a crisp. The shrimp sauce is definitely not house made - very thick orange with a preservative taste. Just not good at all.

Lunch buffet had very minimal selection, unlike most buffets. Meat was dry & hard. Egg roll was ok. Dining room was hot with no air circulation noted. Poor parking navigation. Seated fast. I won't be back & do not recommend. Does not give senior discount.Parking: Difficult to exit parking lot due to limited space & unable to turn around.
