Every single time I come in here, the older light skinned lady with the glasses is ALWAYS mean and nasty and acts like she owns the place..... There was one time asked for an extra tomato slice on my pita and she quickly told the person making my food "nope, that's gone cost a quarter" ? she is a trip and needs to be served a slice of humble pie....However, when you come at night and the men are working, portions are excellent and the service is great, VERY DIFFERENT VIBES FROM THE DAY SHIFT

I have been coming to Substation II my entire life and I still love the number 19 on pita. However, the quality has gone down over the years. The quantity of meat on these subs has definitely been reduced over the years and the prices are WAY too high for a cold sandwich. Over 15 bucks for a sub without a drink or chips in my opinion is just too much. Almost 60 bucks for 3 people to have a sandwich, chips, and a drink is ridiculous. Go get you a steak dinner with salad and a side for the same price…

This place peaked about 15 years ago and it lasted for about 3 years. Since then, the speed, quality of service, and energy just isnt there and many long time regulars dont visit nearly as much anymore. Although still a good option for your lunch break and when you need a break from typical fast food. The #19 will continue to be a staple in the community.
