Last week marked my inaugural experience with Farmer and The Dail, and I opted for a convenient takeout order. Abby guided me through the process, showcasing excellent service from start to finish. For my lunch selection, I settled on the FATD Breakfast Bowl sans bacon, accompanied by an upgrade to Turkey Sausage for just an additional dollar. To complement my meal, I added a side of Hashbrown Casserole, a decision I did not regret. The Hashbrown Casserole surpassed my expectations with its delightful flavour and impeccably balanced seasoning. However, my excitement waned when I delved into the main attraction.Disappointingly, the FATD Breakfast Bowl was drenched in oil, rendering it less palatable. Despite its enticing components—grits, cheddar cheese, fried hash browns, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and a mini cheddar biscuit—the excessive oiliness overshadowed its potential.Regrettably, I found myself unable to fully enjoy the dish and felt a pang of guilt for not finishing it. While I hesitate to dampen others' enthusiasm for Southern cuisine, particularly the famed FATD Breakfast Bowl, it simply didn't align with my tastes. For future visits, I intend to opt for simpler fare to avoid a repeat of this experience.

Breakfast was absolutely amazing! Whenever I am in the area, this will definitely be my go to place! Tried a biscuit bomb, creamy cheese grits, and the butter pecan cake as treat for later! Loved every bite!

Zero stars for this place !!I came to FATD on a Sunday morning around 10:15 and was greated by the waitress. She handed my party of 4 a paper bag saying we were the last breakfast. The line wasn't long, only about 5 or 6 others in front of us. When we arrived at the register to place our order (sausage and gravy biscuits x3, cinnamon rolls x 2), we were told they were out of all breakfast items, short staffed and not cooking anymore. I was totally shocked at the girls attitude delivering this message at the register. Then why were we not told this when we came in instead of giving us the last order paper? I would have glady left!!!I have heard great things about TFATD, and was excited to try it out, but the service is horrible there and the overpriced danishes we ordered were dry and not sweet at all. I'm not sure how they stay in business.

I purchased a Blueberry Jack. It looked a little dry. I asked for a fresh one & was told I had to purchase another one. Fresh ones were cooked for another customer.

Farmer and the Dail is adorably decorated inside and the food is nothing short of FANTASTIC. It is one of my favorite places and a true gem off the beaten path. Well worth the 25 minute drive from Greenville. The ham & sweet potato minis are always delicious and I have not had one thing from the bakery I didn't love. The cheesecakes are wonderful and lots of interesting flavors to try. The service is great and fast even when they are busy. Don't walk, run to Fat-D!Kid-friendliness: They just added this really cute playroom for the kiddos. While I happily don't have children, I thought it was a great addition to the place and looked entertaining and fun.

Delicious meatloaf and fried chicken and a good assortment of sides and desserts.A little disorganized at the register during changeover from breakfast to lunch service, but it worked out.We enjoyed our meal. Didn't have room for that huge slice of cake calling to me.

I am still very new to North Carolina and was in search of a bakery in the Snow Hill area. Low and behold on the outskirts of the country ! The Farmer and The Dail came highly recommended for their delicious baked goods and southern breakfast. My family lives in the area and gave the 2 thumbs up. I placed an online order for a birthday cake to celebrate my mom’s 70th. We visited today after noon and jumped in line to place our brunch order and pick up the cake. We decided on the FATD breakfast bowl that comes with hash browns, a biscuit, grits and bacon. I have been wanting to try their famous biscuit bombs. I decided on the bacon bomb. I have never had a biscuit so pillowy soft and delicious! This place is perfection !My mom’s birthday cake was also equally as delicious. She really enjoyed how light and airy the cake was, how decadent the frosting was. How beautifully decorated ! We will be regulars here when in the area visiting loved ones. Thank you for making a memorable birthday by putting love in your recipes.
