I've been to this location a few times. Overall it's par for the course as far as Waffle Houses go, maybe a little bit above average thanks to the friendly staff. HOWEVER, while visiting very early one morning, I saw that one of the booths had a large number of insects on it. What sort of insects were they? That's a good question. I don't really know. Way bigger than ants. Food was cheap and served quickly.

Everytime I go there the waitress doesn't want to give my daughter grits with her kids breakfast she tells me grits don't come with it and she always gets my sandwich wrong I order a chicken melt and it comes on a bun and not Texas toast well tonight was the last straw ...at least my child got grits tonight but my sandwich was wrong again and this time the cook got smart because I asked for some grilled onions and Texas toast for my chicken melt I eat them enough to know they come on Texas toast ...then the waitress was complaining about me to the table behind me well if you can't call out the order right then that's your problem lady Shallotte Waffle House 2nd shift is awlful

I'm a truck driver from Texas. I just finished delivering a load to the Lowes across the street. I seen there was a waffle house across the street. So I placed a order online. I had a bag in my 18 wheeler that had trash in it. So I was going to throw it away at the waffle house when I picked up my food. I went straight to the trash can which was behind the building before I fully open the trash bin eric swung open the door as if I stealing or something. It was a awkward interaction. I went on the inside picked up my food but I just gave it to my dog because I lost my appetite after that moment. I didn't want to do the post but when I called the store to report it. No one answers the phone its a voice recording. So I went to report it to the manager and come to find out Eric was the manager

My son and I arrived about 7:00 in the morning and sat in the first booth right at the front. There were two gentlemen sitting in the middle booth and then no one in the last booth. We sat there for probably 5 minutes. Our waitress did not wait on us and did not greet us she did offer the two gentlemen in the middle booth more coffee. After about 2 to 3 minutes another man walked in and sat down in the middle booth with the other two gentlemen, the waitress then walked over and asked him if he wanted his regular and his coffee. She still has not spoken to us or offered us any service. Another man walked in and sat in the third booth up against the wall she went straight to him and offered him a coffee, and a menu. It was obvious to me that she knew all these men and they were her regulars. At this point I had had enough and I got up to leave when a nice waitress that was working on the other side her name was Sue, asked if we had been waiting on yet? I said NO, that we weren't important enough for the waitress to offer us service and that we were going next door to Bojangles! Sue told us to come and sit in her section and she would take care of my son and I.As my son and I were sitting there eating our breakfast the woman that was supposed to have been our waitress spent the majority of her time talking to the men she had waited on and playing music on the jukebox.According to her coworker, she's not a good waitress and she spends all of her time at the jukebox.Sue was a great waitress, and left her a good tip!
