“It's fantastic. Everything we've tried has been delicious, the staff's super busy but helpful, and you can buy your lotto tickets next door. Wedgies and the Pik 'n' Pig are the two "must experience" places we bring our out of town visitors.“
“I usually have the Super Salmon Grain bowl, which when prepared by the right cook is excellent. Lately they’ve had some trouble with obtaining good avocados to serve with this and they’ve been filling the half avocado with Cilantro dressing which looks gross. Unless you like that, ask for Citrus Vinaigrette on the side as that goes well with this dish.Vegetarian options: SaladsDietary restrictions: Options that work well with Weight Watchers or GF diet“
“I enjoy the food and the service is generally good but no matter the weather outside it is absolutely freezing in the restaurant!!Dietary restrictions: I love the gluten friendly waffle that you offer. One of the few breakfast options I can enjoy.“
“The Embers is a great place to find lunch in Southern Pines. The atmosphere is unpretentious and casual. The bathroom for everyone is located to the left of the order counter, which is a little awkward, but they are maximizing the use of their space. The hostess was friendly and patient in taking our orders. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions.I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. My companion ordered the brisket sandwich and regular fries. The chicken was pleasantly enhanced with a slightly sweet barbecue sauce and Cole slaw. The sweet potato fries were freshly prepared, but they lacked the savory seasoning that I expected. My companion liked the flavor of the brisket, but she found it to be too populated with bits of fat. Some may prefer the extra flavor provided with the juicy bits, but texture is also important. The fries were crisp and savory. We liked the food well enough to return soon, but brisket will not be one of our choices.“
“Once upon a whimsical day in the enchanted land of Freddy's, a delightful assembly of characters gathered at the heart of the magical Concrete Kingdom. Chocolate Custard Ice Cream, the velvety protagonist, set the stage with its rich and creamy presence.Enter Reese's Pieces, the playful rebels with a crunchy exterior and a peanut butter heart, danced into the scene, bringing a burst of excitement. Marshmallow Sauce, the sweet dreamer, floated in on a cloud of fluffiness, spreading joy with every swirl. Peanut Butter Sauce, the smooth operator, smoothly slid into the tale, adding a nutty twist to the ensemble. But lo and behold, Hot Fudge, the bold adventurer, erupted into the narrative with a warm, gooey embrace, creating a thrilling climax to their whimsical journey. As the characters intertwined in a delicious dance, their flavors harmonized, creating a symphony of sweetness that echoed through the Concrete Kingdom. In the end, they found themselves in the awaiting vessel, a golden cup ready to capture the essence of their fantastical union. With a swirl of magic and a sprinkle of enchantment, the Freddy's Concrete was born, a masterpiece of chocolate custard dreams, Reese's rebellion, marshmallow fantasies, peanut butter charm, and hot fudge adventures. And so, the tale concluded with the delighted slurps and satisfied smiles of those who ventured to taste the magic, savoring the whimsical journey of Freddy's Concrete until not a trace remained, except for the lingering taste of a happily ever after.“
“THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! IT WAS FRESH, COOKED WHEN ORDERED & TASTY! My husband & I were in the area 2 weeks in a row so we ate @ Five Guys both times just to see if the amazing fresh food was a fluke. NOPE, not a fluke! The staff wasn't all the same either & the food was still top-notch! The size of the burger, the toppings, just the right amount of condiments! The amount of fries you get in a regular is WOW! A small fry is enough to share between 2 ppl. Some say it's pricey for a "burger joint" but I have to say both times it was worth every penny! $25-$30 for 2 to eat a delicious, fresh, (NOT off the heat chute) satisfying lunch/dinner isn't far from the prices most places charge nowadays. ENJOY!Parking: Parking is mostly "front row". There is also plenty of parking available behind the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is kid-friendly. There are high chairs available.Wheelchair accessibility: Tables are allowing those in wheelchairs to sit comfortably.“
“This snug eatery has totally won me over! With hosts as warm as a hug, dishes that dance on your taste buds, Insta-worthy presentation, a wine list as long as a giraffe's neck, and desserts straight out of a fairy tale. I'm waving my foodie flag high - this place is a must-visit for all! I'm already planning my next visit - it's like a foodie magnet pulling me back in!“
