Disappointing. We went after hearing friends rave about it. We should have asked what to order. I had the prime rib that was so tough I couldn't eat more than a few bites and very salty. My husband's boneless ribs were simply flavorless strips of gristle. Seasoned fries were hot. Baked potato was steamed in foil and served with fake butter cups. The salad bar was the best part. Very fresh with decent variety. I would have complained but after dropping off the food our waitress disappeared until she asked if we needed a box.

Limited salad bar in cramped quarters, they gave our large prime rib to someone who'd ordered a medium and gave us the medium, charged us for the large and wouldn't fix it. Why wouldn't a restaurant take reservations for a party of 20??? Bathrooms super tight and the only good thing was that the service was polite and kept the drinks full...

I love the Woodshed Restaurant! I have been coming here since I was a child with my grandparents. The steaks are cooked perfectly. I love their salad bar, I'm fact this is the only salad bar I eat...ever...anywhere. The service is prompt and polite. It's very family oriented but also a great place for a date night. The atmosphere is very cozy. There's not much in Stanley,NC but their is the Woodshed!

We ordered small portion beef tips and small portion salmon to go last night. It was 60 dollars when we got there to pick it up. They don't itemize the receipt so I can't tell what they charged us per meal. It use to be 12 bucks for small portion meals now it's 30? You should be transparent with your pricing. Website menu has price removed and the receipt doesn't show the price per item. I feel I just got scammed. Oh well, just another place not to come back to.
My wife and I decided to go to the woodshed Brian anniversary dinner. We check in we told there’s a 90 minute wait which we had no problem with it. We sit down our table After 90 Minute Wait. So this is about 8:30 PM the waitress takes her order within five minutes of sitting down. We both ordered the large prime rib and shrimp cocktail. Brings out our plates and we want to go get our salad. The blue cheese dressing was runny with little specks of blue cheese. I figured it’ll be a better quality of blue cheese dressing. At finishing our salad and shrimp cocktail. We sat and wait for entrée. The waitress came out twice and said our food will be out in a few minutes. We finally got our food 30 minutes after completing our salad. Upon us getting our prime rib the waitress says to us would you like french fries instead of baked potato we are out I asked her if she has a sweet potatoes or rice no route of everything. You could tell the prime rib was sitting out for a bit before she brought to us. This prime rib was a little tougher than Other primary I’ve had in the past. Had to completing our dinner we received the bill. No management came out to apologize about not having a baked potato or any other side. We weren’t comped anything but still charged full price and not getting We’ve ordered. If we return, it’ll be a long time.

I can’t believe this place has such good ratings. Steak was not seasoned *at all. My partners came out bloody which he ordered medium well. They did take it back and cook it without issue. They ran out of baked potatoes but wasn’t informed until I asked why we got French fries. 35$ for this meal was outrageous.
