Gross food once you FINALLY get it after an HOUR AND 15 wait. Went with church group and most of us ended up sick.

Friendly service, clean but outdated atmosphere. Calamari was terrible and unbeatable but dinner, Country Chicken, was very good!** Notice: There is a 3% “Service charge” added to your bill for some unknown reason.

This was a terrible experience, the dining area was small and smelt bad. The waiter yelled and got mad at me for closing a salt shaker. And when I waited two hours for a chicken parmigiana, the pasta in the side had watery sauce. The chicken smelt old and rancid and had an after taste. I let the waiter know and she told me that because everyone else had the same chicken then they couldn’t take it off the check. Terrible experience food and inside. I know it may look good but it was terrible

Nice Italian restaurant, most ingredients are homemade. Prices are just a tad high, but the quality of food offset that. I would recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed..

My son and I tried the specials of the day, spinach and shrimp with penne Alfredo and salmon with mustard and dill sauce. Both were delishous.Brushetta appetizer had a good flavor just missing the mozzarella.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access. Plenty of room for wheelchairs.

Lovely location in downtown Statesville. Large, airy eating space. I'm a person who likes my fountain drinks, and when I was given bottled soda with a cup of ice, I immediately went cautious. I know that's common in Europe, but I'm not a fan. The side salad was barely more than just lettuce, and spaghetti and meatballs were mediocre. My dinner partner said the Chicken Alfredo was also mediocre. So the atmosphere and location are worth a visit, but it won't be a favorite Italian place of mine. Funny though, I've been at an event catered from here, and it was delicious, so maybe it was the drink that set the tone.

Go to Vesuvio's, Sorrentos or Amalfi's!!! I wanted to give this place another try after the horrible crabcake pasta experience I had about a year ago. It is the closest Italian place to me and I would love to give them business because they are in downtown but the food was horrible and expensive. I heard the pizza was good and read somewhere I thought that it was wood fired. I checked the menu online and ordered - Kid's Spaghetti & Meatballs (menu said 6.95) and a 14" pizza (menu said 16.95 with two toppings). When I arrived and asked why my total was $33.95 - I was told I looked at the wrong menu - kids spaghetti was $9 and the Pizza was $17, plus $1.99 for mushroom topping and $2.99 for pepperoni although I only got pepperoni on half. They were pleasant and tried to give me a menu with updated prices - I said no thank you that I would probably not return. They talked about how everything has gone up including flour and that everything was homemade so I would probably be back. I hoped that were the case - the 14" pizza was horrible, it was cold even though I waited, it was undercooked and the crust was floppy not crisp and terrible. The sauce had no flavor and the cheese was not good. There was hardly any sauce on the pasta and none on the meatball which my husband said was salty. I have never written a review on Yelp, I don't like to complain but yes - everything has gone up and I do not have $33.95 to waste on bad food. I wish I would have walked out - I will listen to my gut next time. There was only one other table in the restaurant on a Saturday at 6pm.

We were with a group. The waitress did not want to allow us to push our 2 tables together, but finally relented. We waited 2 hours for our salads. My husband's steak was very poor quality, lots of gristle, but cost $35. It was a bit too warm in the restaurant, as well. But my salmon with mustard and dill and the veggies were delicious.

I hate to be the one to have to write this review but the tea was sour. Waitress was constantly interrupting us without saying “excuse me” or anything. She also reached over us several times. I paid $21 for a piece of Salmon on Arugula 2 slices of Tomato and 6 olives. When I asked for another 2 oz cup of dressing I was charged an additional $1. The service and food wasn’t worth it. Especially when there was a group of us that sat and ate.

My wife and I sat down today to give the place a shot because Mezzaluna’s, our normal go-to Italian restaurant in Statesville, was closed. The first clue that told me we were in for a bad experience was that the place was a ghost town at 5:30pm. We were literally the only customers in the place from the time we sat down until we left. The second clue was their health inspection score being a 90, which I discovered through online research on my phone was due to several violations, such as an employee not washing their hands after going out to the dumpster, cross-contaminations issues, PIC not ServSafe certified, and temperature holding issues. This is public information anyone can look up through a simple Google search. We decided to give the place a shot anyway because we were famished, but were rather wary. Anyway, we ordered our food and drinks, and got our salad, bread and drinks without issue. Then, while sitting there waiting for our entrees, I found out about a family emergency through a text. We immediately get up to leave, as our entrees had not yet arrived, and offered to pay for what had been delivered to our table. I explained we had a family emergency and needed to leave. The server and the manager or owner (not sure which he was) started trying to force us to take the entrees to go and pay for them.I had lost my appetite by this point and wasn’t going to be eating that food, and didn’t want to take it to go as I would be at the hospital for several hours with no way to keep the food refrigerated. So, I refused and reiterated that I would be happy to pay for the value of what we consumed, but would not pay for anything that had not been delivered to our table. They then started to raise their voices at me, arguing about how I had ordered already and I had to pay. They also made me feel like they were calling me a liar about the family emergency situation I was in.By this point, I’m seeing red, as I know what they’re doing is illegal, as I have ran a restaurant as a manager before, so I call the police. While I’m waiting, I call them out on their health inspection and the lady server was all like, “It’s still an A. That’s just cosmetic.” To which I replied, “Sorry, but an employee not washing their hands after returning from the dumpster is NOT cosmetic. That’s a health code violation.”The police show up, explain to the restaurant people that they can’t make me pay for food that wasn’t delivered to my table, and they even argue with the officers. Finally, they get it through their thick skulls that they can’t legally force me to pay for the entrees I didn’t get, but charge me almost $20 for the garden salad, bread, and the one bottled coke my wife had.I knew they were ripping me off again, but I was tired of arguing with them and needed to get going, so I paid the ticket and walked out. I really don’t know how these people have been in business for 4+ years if they’re that petty and clearly have no customer service/people skills. I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. Avoid like the plague.
