We came in at 2:30 on a Saturday, we checked before we came and it said they closed at 3. We arrive and i check the hours and it says 3pm. We walk in and are met with a lady yelling at us that they are only taking to go orders and only foods from the fryer. We are only allowed to walk on the right side of the restaurant and couldn’t even place our order at the register. They have all chairs up and are mopping. Keep in mind, it’s 2:30. They then charge us extra per ranch that we wanted, while only offering us 1/4 of the menu. Poor management. Customer called in about wanting a hamburger and they said “is it made in the fryer” and then the customer hung up. All while they made fun of him afterwards. I’ve been eating here for years and I’ve never been met with such hostility ever at a restaurant. I will be spending my money elsewhere after this. I would recommend The Deck on Belews Lake or Parker’s Home Cookin

Had the ribeye sandwich and it was the best sandwich I’ve had in years! The atmosphere is great. The employees are wonderful! Just a great experience in general! If your in Stokesdale I recommend!

The food is small town. Everybody knows everyone by 1st name. The staff is very inviting. I have been there for breakfast and lunch.If there is one thing I didn't care for, and I am finding this out with locally owned restaurants in the Piedmont of NC. That is, they only serve american cheese. Which is not cheese!! The staff even try to pass off white american cheese as Swiss cheese. People, if Swiss cheese doesn't have holes, it is white american.
I loved going to BJ’s in the past but under the new ownership they remodeled and took away the local charm and decorated the interior like a cheap motel. I walked in for lunch and the menu was no longer posted, there was one cook and one server. No hope of a quick lunch so I walked out. They also discontinued NC favorite Cheerwine as a drink option. Thank you new owner for ruining a great little restaurant .

BJ'S Grill has been a long time grill with delicious food and fantastic service!!!! I had one of their Thursday specials tonight ...Meg's homemade meatloaf .... which was out of this world delicious....you don't know what you're missing til you try it!!!! And of course all the sides to go with were delicious too!!!????

I am a city guy who is new to area. Everyone was telling me i must go to BJ's Grill. I tried their breakfast... OMG!! You can instantly tell the food is homemade and from scratch. Needless to say I return for lunch the same day and could tell somebody in the kitchen was putting in work because I took one bite of my Hamburger steak smothered in gravy, mashed potatoes and gravy and "real" macaroni and cheese with buttered texas toast and was amazed. Everyone was super nice and service was a 10!! Thank you so much for bringing real food to my table!!
