Came and was never greeted, that was the 1st issue. The woman that was helping someone else stared to the young man that was working there to help the lady the came in. The young man was very nice though. I opted for a piece of cheesecake and a danish. The cheesecske was a bit tough but the danish was pretty good. I will most likely not return as the way I'm treated goes a long way. Even a slight smile would have been nice.

Don't order/pay for a cake in advance and expect to get it from Blue V'nilla. Or if you order and it's for a special occasion, follow up daily and receive written confirmation. Thankfully another local bakery for the win to make my daughter's 13th birthday cake vision come true in just 2 days! **edited to add, mistakes happen however how the business/owner responds to mistakes is extremely telling. I was refunded for my order, which was expected. However no offer to make the cake as agreed to 10 days prior when the order was placed (and paid for in advance) We have been loyal customers for over a year with stopping in for after school treats at least once sometimes twice a week. Do better by your customers Blu V'nilla!

We placed an order for a birthday cake for my daughter 2 weeks in advance. Two days before we were supposed to pick it up, we called to verify it would be ready. They said they have no record of us placing the order. Do not trust this place with anything that is important. And we have been regular customers for over a year. The owner put the blame on the employee and refused to make it right. Worst experience ever. We will not be back.

Blue Vnilla is my favorite coffee shop ever! The staff is amazing and the coffee is just as good! I would recommend a coconut latte. There are so many neat art pieces and local crafts that you can also purchase in the store. In addition to coffee, they also have delicious pastries and sweet treats. I would highly recommend the quiche.

Super cute place! Lots to look at inside. The quiche was divine, the eclair was not so great. Coffee was super tasty and service was fair. Young girl was kind but working alone and one customer/order at a time. I ended up buying a homemade holiday gift which was a nice option. Fun little place will be back and won't ever stop here if I'm in a hurry. I'll try some other sweets too, they all look so good.

I've been wanting to this bakery for a long time and I'm honestly so confused. The photos posted here look great but nothing I saw today looked appealing. I asked the young girl working if they had napoleons because I had seen them in a photo here and she said she didn't know what that was. I ended up choosing a chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal cookie sandwich, and two cream horns. The chocolate chip cookie ($2.50) was probably the worst I've ever had. It was certainly not fresh, hard as a hockey puck and had an odd flavor that I can't put my finger on. The cream horns ($4.50) were barely filled and didn't have any flavor. The oatmeal cookie sandwich ($5) was the better item if you're into incredibly sweet icing, but nothing I'd go back for. No prices anywhere and when she told me the cost (+$17) I was shocked. Complete waste of my money. This should be obvious but if you don't have fresh items, simply don't offer it that day. It was a very disappointing experience.

Blue Vnilla is our go to spot for all things sweet in the Summerfield area! We've been by the bakery several times at this point and I'd definitely consider this spot a hidden gem. You've got everything you'd want in a bakery but at your back door! This go round I ordered several treats (cupcakes, cake truffles, macarons, and spinkle cookies) for a baby shower and not only did everything turn out exactly how I wanted, the treats were delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely inquire with them about your next event if you're in need of desserts. They also have casings full of any dessert you can think of - pie, cake, bars, even different desserts I've never heard of (hello Montana!!). I can always find something I know I'll enjoy when I walk in the door.

I had such a great experience at Blue Vanilla this week and wanted to share the reasons why I will 100% go back. As a Summerfield native, I grew up going to Godino’s bakery which was the old bakery before Blue Vanilla came along. I was a dedicated & loyal customer and always went before going to high school at Northern Guilford. At first I was a skeptic of this new bakery, but soon came to find out that the new owner is absolutely wonderful and cares deeply about her customers. I am a newly-found matcha lover, and I have never had anything better than Blue Vanilla’s hot matcha and have gone back every day since being home in Summerfield. I now live in Wilmington & the owner sent me back to my new home with extra matcha powder so I could enjoy their amazing drinks in the comfort of my new place. I recommend Blue Vanilla 100% to any new person interested in trying this bakery and hope you will go give it a try too.P.S. their Brie apple bacon quiche is to die for, I would drive back to have it again!

Absolutely the best matcha I have ever had and I am still dreaming about the brie apple bacon quiche! Wonderful owner and amazing options for both savory & sweet lovers!

Used to be lovely, coffee made properly with appropriately ground and tamped espresso. Had nice desserts and pastries. Unfortunately has gone downhill drastically. Perhaps poor training, but shots are poorly prepared leading to bad espresso drinks. Pastries looked ok but no labels and very, very sparse compared to what was. Kind of sad as used to love Godino’s before becoming Blue Vnilla. Could be saved with quality espresso and proper training. Disappointed to have wasted our time and money hoping to find the quality that formerly was. Drinks didn’t make it past the trash by the door :(

They make the best quiche and a great mocha! Service is always very friendly too.

So bummed that it was closed today and there was no mention on the webpage. It's our togo place for birthday cakes and we do badly needed one today, but alas

This was my first time visiting Blue Vnilla and I was very disappointed after getting home and realizing the cake ball I received was covered in mold. The pastry was also very stale. I called the store and let them know and the girl who answered was very nice and offered a refund but not sure i’ll be going back after the mold.

Been going here since it reopened a couple years ago. Owners and workers are super friendly and the baked good selection is great. They are always trying new things and just added matcha. Highly recommend it.
