I've been eating at this restaurant for several years when I'm visiting the beach, and find the food to be consistently delicious, and the service to be mostly really good. My favorite dishes are the Chicken Casa Bella, the burgers, the salads, and triggerfish (if it's available - offered as a special for the evening. I also really like the brownie a la mode dessert.This is a popular place to eat, so I find that at the height of the vacation season, it's best to get there early and avoid a wait. I also find that the service is best before they get super-busy. The staff works hard, but can get overloaded when big groups come in.

The Cove is a local hometown restaurant and bar. It has a comfortable hometown atmosphere. The food is fresh, and the menu has a variety of things from seafood to steaks to salads. We are local and love going there. It has very food and the staff is always friendly. It can get loud, but that's ok. it's the Cove!

We ate there for dinner at 7:30 last Saturday night March 2, 2024. We had a reservation and waited less than ten minutes to be seated. While waiting, we perused the feline rescue display and enjoyed the photos of the cute kitties. It was loud. The bar area was crowded and a basketball game on the TVs promoted the noise. When we were seated, our server promptly appeared to take drink orders and returned quickly with the drinks and took out food orderes. We decided to split an order of one-pound of crab legs, a coconut shrimp appetizer, and a bowl of french onion soup. The coconut shrimp was crispy on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. And the dipping sauce was a great complement to the shrimp. The crab legs were firm and flavourful and the sautéed zucchini and yellow squash perfectly seasoned. The French onion soup was just so-so and I wouldn't order it again. A young boy/man rolling the set ups and clearing tables seemed to go out of his way to make as much obnoxious noise as possible, slamming plates on the table, smacking the broom against the dust pan, etc. He was either very poorly trained, inadequately supervised, or just didn't care how his antics negatively impacted the guests. In any case, it was very annoying. The Holden Sunset cocktail was excellent and highly recommended. Overall, almost all of the food was quite good, food and bar service excellent, ambience okay, and support staff needs training, supervision, or replacement. All in all, I would recommend The Cove.

This is the best restaurant in the area, hands down! It doesn’t matter what you order from appetizers, to the perfectly cooked steak, the amazing seafood … it’s all fantastic! And it’s that good every single time! Can’t rave enough about this local, family owned establishment. Delish, delish, delish! ??

It was a very busy restaurant. I would say if you're going to visit this place, make sure that you don't come completely starving. They do have some water of a wait time from the time that you make your order until you receive your food. So make sure that you order an appetizer lol. There weren't a lot of gluten-free options. I had to kind of improvise. A dish which they were more than happy to fix for me the way I wanted. So on the service end. I give them five stars. The quality of the food was good. And the selection was what I would expect from a Carolina seafood place. Which they had more than just seafood. Of course. The menu did seem broad, but I went there for the seafood. The waitress was very attentive to us and she was extremely busy. The place was very crowded, but I feel confident in my rating on the atmosphere, as the price of the food, did not match the decor in which people were being seated upon. Seated upon. Basic kitchen style chairs and what look like folding tables in the middle. It sort of had a grill decor atmosphere with a lobster joint price tag. Lol. All in all the visit went well. I was there with friends and although we did wait a tremendous amount of time for our food. It went by quickly as the busy atmosphere of the restaurant was consuming of the attention.I'm not sure if I would go back. But I don't really regret the visit. If you have the time, stop in and experience the place. I don't think you'll be completely disappointed. Especially if you're having a hard time trying to decide where to go. The paintings on the wall were reminiscent of a Hollywood/ music industry area. And the booth seating was roomy

We absolutely love the cove, nick is an amazing bartender. Food is always perfect regardless of what you order. But tonight I had the ribeye and my girlfriend had the salmon, both were amazing!!!! Got a pic of the salmon, but forgot to get pics of ribeye. Vibe is always awesome!!! Get there early, as they open at 4:30 and bar and restaurant fill up fast!

Ordered takeout to celebrate me finishing grad school. The crab legs were awesome. The calamari was great with a light batter with a tang of black pepper in it. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked. Highly recommend and would go back anytime.

I rarely order burgers in restaurants, but they literally have the best burger that I have ever had.
