“Popped into the shop after I saw yummy healthy plants crossing my window while breakfasting at NY Deli and said to myself “I have to go there. These plants are amazing “ , so there I go. Found old books - which I love and collect, a plethora of plants, antique items, baked goods and an amazing selection of coffee! Bought some old fun books, Jordan Almonds - yum - a Pecan pie for the Easter holiday, which, sadly for my waistline, was the best pie I’ve ever had. The most fun eclectic, for me, purchase was potted lettuce, 4 varieties, that was so full and beautiful! Best part - as this potted lettuce is indoors, it won’t go to seed or bolt for the entire summer season. I have sandwich and salad fixings for the entire summer season and am never paying $7.99 for a lettuce bin for the entire Summer. Thank you! Best visit to a shop ever!! ❤️“

“Wow! Came here after lunch for something sweets. I don't normally even like donuts but I really enjoyed this donut. Was able to park outside in the lot. We went inside and the worker was very kind. He gave us a run down on the menu and what was popular. The donuts are made right on the spot so it was so warm and just a great consistency. They are cake donuts that you can add glaze and toppings to so you can make it your own. My one donut was ~$2.50. I ordered the mint donut and loved it. It kinda looked like shrek. So warm and tasty! I would definitely come back! Was able to sit outside on the bench and enjoy my donut!“

“Excellent. A trip to Surf City isn't complete without a stop at Sugar Island for some baked goods. A unique shop with a wonderful owner. Baked goods are always fresh and tasty. Check them out if you are on the island, you won't be disappointed!“

“In town to visit our Marine and wanted to try rhe bakery we have heard so much about. They were everything I imagined. The place was beautiful and cheery. The sweets were top notch amazing. The sweet woman who waited on us was so helpful and kind. Hoghly recommend this place“

“Walked in, immediate first impression was that it’s clean, organized and welcoming. The two people working both greeted me even though they were clearly busy. The order went quickly, payment easy and staff was friendly and talkative throughout the process. Hubs got regular coffee, I had the blueberry crumble-which was amazing. IMO prices were the same as Dunkin; but I had to drive a third the distance and had a wonderful experience that I feel would be more consistent. We’ll be making it a daily trip, definitely worth trying.“

“As always, it's a pleasure to be able to pull through the drive-thru and today after being waited on by an exceptionally attentive gentleman, I inquired as to what his name was... I was told that it was Savon, the owner. I didn't recognize him but he's just as kind and humble as ever. He's kept this bakery top-notch for years now and there he is hanging out the window. I asked if he wanted me to drive around as I hadn't called in my order and he replied that they'd already taken the orders of the 2 cars behind me. The Everything bagel was perfect and the bacon, egg, and cheese on the Everything was as well. You can tell that everyone is digging their job and tasks because of their smiles! “The short rib ravioli dish was ridiculously good, very impressed!I do wish that a small salad or a small cup of soup (Italian wedding perhaps) would be included with the entree, even bump the enree price a buck or two, still a good value. That's not a criticism to the restaurant, just personal preference. The place is great.“
