If you're in the area you got to check out Bud's grill, they're not open late, mainly breakfast and lunch mainly. Their hamburgers in food is fantastic.

Just ate there this morning 4/10/23 for the first time. Egg,link sausage on toast. It was very yummy. We will have to come and try out your burgers some time. Thanks guys.

Updating my 2015 review. I was treated very rudely, and for no reason. I was served half raw fries, so asked to please have them cook a little longer, but was told in a very rude tone by an older lady, "I don't have time to WASTE on you! And I don't have time for a special order to make your fries crispy." I tried to nicely and politely explain the fries weren't completely cooked, and you could see they looked a very pale yellow, and actually a more white color. I did not request crispy fries, or anything special. I only requested my food be edible, by being thoroughly cooked. She flatly refused to cook them until they were done, but she didn't have a problem cooking the rest of the fries that wonderful golden color for all the other orders. Before this incident, I would have told you they had the best fries and the nicest workers in town, but this spoiled my special little dive diner. I understand everyone has off days, but her behavior was inexcusable. I have even wondered if she thought I was someone else and she purposely undercooked the fries; that is the only explanation I can come up with to explain her attitude and rude remarks. I know she had always been nice and polite on my previous visits. I do not know her and she does not know me. I only ate there about once a year as a special treat when I came to Tarboro, and before this visit, never once had the slightest problem. I really miss Buds, especially the pizza burger, but burn me once...

Delicious Pizza Burger!!! One of the BEST I've ever had! The staff are very nice and accommodating. They serve breakfast and lunch, and have a nice menu with many different offerings. They cook everything fresh to order, will definitely be returning to get another Pizza Burger and explore the other options on the menu! It's a small place, but there's a few tables and a dining bar inside and tables available outside for dining (weather permitting) I chose to take my order to go, but it was still hot, fresh and delicious!

it's a very small diner with decent food. We had burgers, fries and milk shakes that tasted like fresh strawberry.
