So unexpectedly we pulled off and found this amazing steak house near Roxboro NC. It was a few minutes before 5 pm no line. And the smell of fresh grilling steaks was in the air. Went in and got seated on short order. Our sever JoeEllen was epic amazing she knew everything about the menu and the restaurant and history. As someone who enjoys the history of the places I dine that was nice If I'm up this way again I'd stop. The food was great staff wonderful and it has a lot of charm.

We stopped on a Sunday night, about 1 hour before closing. We had a very nice relaxed meal, no one was trying to rush us out of the place. My hubby had the oysters, he said was good. I had the beef kabob. Oh my gosh, the marinade on the filet bobs was so very good. I am still thinking about them the next day. Just the right amount of meat. Wish they would share the marinade. This is a place to come for an extra special dinner. Their homemade bread was excellent. Too full for dessert. We will be back.

Well the Homestead Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant on the Frank Timberlake homeplace is at the top of its game. For a great many years, the restaurant and later on, the Timberlake Suite, has been the site of our biennial reunion. Last weekend was the first reunion we've had since new owner Tyler Faucette took over last fall. Our food and our service from Brooke, Hailey, and Cindy was exceptional! This restaurant is worth the drive! Thank you all.

The food was just ok. The buffet was decent. Really crowded on Sundays after church, but that is to be expected. The facility is nice.

It was a great experience for us. We dined on a Saturday night around 6:30-6:45. We didn't have to wait long. Food was out in a timely manner. Everything was good! Looking forward to going back!

Got there around 5PM on a Saturday night and the place was popping! There was a long line but it moved really fast. We loved the salad bar and our steaks were cooks perfectly. We are bringing our parents there the next time they visit! Great experience.

The salad bar was good. 6 of us ordered steaks. We got there at 6:00 and didn't get our food until 8:45.
Great salad bar and country buffet. Friendly employees and atmosphere. Ask about their monthly music events.
A super place for receptions, parties, etc.
