Went here 3 weeks ago and still thinking about this visit! $47 for two people lolI knew things were priced individually but I was charged 4 bucks for a 2 ounce scoop of cabbage casserole, which was soft cabbage and Velveeta essentially. Delicious, but pricey. Mashed potatoes were instant. The chicken pot pie was good, the country style steak was so overcooked it exfoliated my throat ? I think I must have just gotten a really tough piece. Very flavorful though!I've had a few meals here and most have been good, but I don't think the pricing is terribly fair for such small portion sizes. Please don't let the honesty of this review put you off! We're happy to support our local businesses, we just won't be able to make it a regular thing because we're not made of money! The fried chicken is worth coming back for again and again.

We drive an hour each way to dine at Julia's Talley House and have never been disappointed in the food the staff or the atmosphere. Honestly feels like Sunday afternoon at Grandmother's.

Great price, only good fried chicken in iredell county. Wait staff get a little more overwhelmed with large parties and pretty much just bring you pitchers of beverage to refill so they don't have to check on you as much, HOWEVER, it's not a huge deal, still get you taken care of. Line can be a bit long at the buffet but worth it. The hot sides are lacking a bit in the seasoning department but still pretty good (i tried the broccoli and cheese, rice and gravy, and yams). All in all worth the 4 stars. Definitely reccomend giving the place a whirl. However, their hours are weird so you almost have to plan a trip, but you won't be upset in the end.Parking: Not alot of parking space when they get busy.Kid-friendliness: Very kid and family friendly. Feels like.going to grandma's house.Wheelchair accessibility: They got a ramp up to the front deck entrance.

Warm, attentive service. Hot, fresh, well-seasoned, flavorful home-cooked food. We will be back! I highly recommend the fried okra, cornbread, fried chicken and fresh salad.
